Well, kids are kids. They’ll beat up or make fun of anyone for any reason. Especially during the middle school era.

For me middle school was the worst time of my life.My school is considered the most dangerous school in Portugal (!) and you would get in trouble everyday.

Same here. Middle school is just a bad age for kids.
Middle school is my worst memory on steroids.
I made a lot of enemies, had a bout of clinical depression, and nearly got in a fight with a chick who seemed twice my size. Then there was the whole “suicidal” ordeal…

No. The “I’m-on-Zoloft-because-my-psychiatrist-can’t-help-me-and-I’m-nothing-but-trouble-so-why-not-end-it-now” suicidal.
o.0 This is strange, y.4 upwards (counts as middle school) I became more popular, and the beatings stopped. Which made me happy. I don’t like pain. It hurts me.
I’m kind of confused how this pet name topic turned into us reliving middle school and talking about suicide and how miserable (or happy) we were…

I was just inquiring. Plus, people seem to forget that during the middle school years your body is changing, you are becoming more aware of your existence and your responsibility as a human. The reason I asked is because many kids in middle suffer the same problem, but they eventually grow out of it. Unfortunately, outside of the kids that really do need help are a clique of kids that seem to think it’s “cool” to act suicidal and depressed, and are only depressed because “their bf/gf broke up with them, their middle-class life is so bad, their parents won’t let them buy all the cool clothes so they can fit in.” I can personally do without those kinds of kids.
