Hey… I used to have a hamster named “Death.” Also had a hamster named “Li’l Shit,” but that was because it bit me and I refused to give it a name.
I have a hamster called Lara. She tried to maim me. I also have a cat. She thinks I’m edible. Animals are so nice, ain’t they?

I have ferrets who chase me up a wall, two dogs who help, one that watches, cats who are failed singers, an iguana who tried to eat my fish, fish that made most others commit suicide, and a coati who I need to get another permit for… The current permit I have for him “vanished”. Vanished also means my family tore it up so I’d have to get rid of him.

It’s a character of the Magic and Gathering universe, I won’t elabore on what the character is like here (though he was badass! But not cliched badass) but I like the name cos it sounds Greek-ish even tho it’s not (Atleast I think it isn’t perhaps it is and just not used anymore like many Ancient Greek names)
Oh I don’t think you said if the cat is male or female? That’s a name for a male.
You could always go with some name from PD
Two names from His Dark Materials:
Kirjava or Pantalaimon. They are the little animal companions of Will and Lyra… 
Kirjava is an exceptionally bad ass name, just for the record.
After reading some of these names, I’m starting to wonder if you guys should ever even have kids.
