Woo! Lumines REMIXES! 
Comparing the REMIXES to the tunes in-game gives you a good feeling for just how much character playing the game adds to the music; some of the tracks almost sound barren without all the sound effects spazzing out. Take A Dog Out A Walk is a perfect example of this, I think. One of my favorite skins in the game, and they neutered it down to a minute and a half and only threw in the bonus effect once ;_;
Still, absolutely love the music from Lumines, and most of the mixes do a good job of capturing the music.
Octavarium by Dream Theater
Damn does octavarium suck compared with any of their previous works.Not to emntion the Muse influence…
It’s a lot more straightforward and predictable compared to their previous releases, but it’s still enjoyable.
However, the song Octavarium is the best song they’ve done in a while

I am currently listening to “I Stand Alone” by Godsmack, one of my current favourite bands. I was introduced to the band by “Prince of Persia: Warrior Within”; great music for a great game.
I like Godsmack, maybe not all of their stuff, but in general its good. I dunno why the music was trashed on in the reviews of Warrior Within, I think it suited the game well like you said.
As for me, I am currently listening to another batch of Porcupine Tree, Trains currently.
It was trashed because a lot of people are close minded to music in games unless it’s Hip Hop, Rap, or Classical
