The community has evolved a lot since last year, and I was wondering whether or not to do the Awards again this year. Kindly click the “PDAA Results” link under the banner of this forum to see the winners and categories of last years events. Basically my friends, I’d like to you to:
One: Tell me if you think it’s worth doing the awards again.
Two: Suggest any categories that should / shouldn’t be voted for.
I don’t think the mods should be eligible for any “Best/Most something member”. There’s too much bias towards them, and it’s practically their job to be the best.

You probably should have it again though.
Your just jealous because you can’t edit posts other peoples’ posts
Good suggestions so far… KEEP THEM COMING PLEASE (I would like loads of suggestions, ideally). I’m not sure I like the idea of mods not being votable on some categories.
Mod’s are members too.
A mod is for life, not just for abuse.
I’m sure I can think of more.
Whatever happens this year though, it WILL be an open vote, with the exception of maybe a couple of categories. And you will have to fill in all fields for your votes to be applicable (which is another reason why I want your input, everyone has to be happy with the nominations).
As for new / different categories, not much has occured to me so far. I kind of agree with the category for “most valuable forum member” being a bit… strangely worded, but the abstract ones like “friendliest” or “most innovative” make perfect sense.
When I have some good ideas, I’ll be sure to post them. By the way, it would be cool to stick links to the web sites / fanfics / etc. on the results page this year, so as to better promote these successful things.
I recommend some more fun, laid-back stuff other than “Most Innovative” etc.
“Spammer of the year” is good, and there are others; I’ll tell you when I think of them. Besides, I don’t think too many people would get insulted by being slightly teased.
Well being an open vote, there won’t be any limitations for who you can vote for. Some one sided categories will not be done this year, like Best Website. I’m wondering whether or not to do the Art Award also.

Seeing as how the prerequisite to being a mod is to be informative, innovative, etc. , I don’t think they should be excluded from those categories. I mean, why not give someone an award that is deserved?
Yep, fanfic award’ll still be there. So far these are going to be included:
Best Fan Fiction
Forum Member with the Best Avatar
Forum Member with the Best Signature
Most Innovative Forum Member
Most Informative Forum Member
Most Underrated Forum Member
Most Dependable Forum Member
Friendliest Forum Member
Most Likeable Newcomer
Spammer of the Year
Wackiest Forum Member
Services to Panzer Dragoon Award
And these will be left out:
Most Valuable Forum Member
Art Award
Best Website
Best New Website
Most Informative Website
Best Designed Website
I think the website ones are too one sided this year. Thoughts?
Also, I was thinking maybe of a Best Game award, though that would probably be one sided also.
Best Game? What do you mean? Our own likes and dislikes?
DEFIANCE!!!
And I disagree with TSE.I don’t think that beeing informative and innovative is the mod’s job.Their job is simply to moderate convos and judge if anything should be done about this or that member.
