Sega Poll for Franchise Revival

No it wasn’t. As for your response to my previous reply, well, L-O-L would be quite appropriate. I was quite close in my estimate for the general feel of what you would write after all, and I preemptively and rightly announced it false. I’m sorry but your opinions, which are quite out of the ordinary (in a bad way, don’t twist this into a compliment because it’s not, in any way), are not a world fact. Grow up.

I, personally, do not care what you, or anyone else, thinks about my opinions. I know I’m right - and, in the end, my opinion is the only one that matters. I am the center of the universe, and will forever remain so.

You care enough to keep responding and generally come back to this forum if only to insult or threaten others in your own special ways… Try again, that was too pathetic, as usual.

I’ll wait for your response that will attempt to justify the reason you keep coming back with something that may make you appear superior to others or whatever… I can always use another lol.

Al3x, you will never win against someone who’s chemical abuses measure in the TONS…

Give it up.

Oh, so you’re saying everyone who likes FF is a mindless zombie?

That’s exactly what I’m saying. The entire Final Fantasy series lacks substance in every sense of the word - basically what I’m implying is that the series has no soul. You can’t make a game with just pretty graphics alone and Square-Enix STILL has not learned this vital lesson.
Good thing you’ve played the entire FF franchise back to back so you can make such a well educated reply on that. =D (although I will agree that several more recent FFs are indeed more style over substance)

On-topic: Maybe Sega should make an attempt at dethroning Ninja Gaiden and make another Shinobi/Kunoichi game. >.>;; I know I know, it hasn’t been as long since there was a NiGHTS, but hey, it could be great fun when done right. =D
So basically, it’s “unfortunate” that these titles are being developed by Sega of America instead of Sega of Japan because it means Sega of Japan produced less games this year?

Do you really expect me to buy that?.
i don’t expect you to buy anything since your brain obviously cannot comprehend something that others already have. You still cannot comprehend the fact that the point i was making was not the fact that sega west is making a lot of games(which they’re not inhouse) is the fact that Sega j isn’t. They haven’t ben aking a lot of games for systems for a while now. If SOJ were making as many sega games as their western divisions that would be ok but they haven’t,they only made an handful and its been like this for a few years now outside the arcades. Most people would love to see an new interpretation of PANZER DRAGOON or a new original game from sega japan using next gen hardware. I’m sure we shall get some but they don’t seem intrested in console development as they use to be and that is unfortunate considering what we know what they are capable of.
When did I give you that advice? Go ahead and quote me. I have a good idea of what you’ll probably reference and it’d be really reaching, but feel free to surprise me.
Why when you already know the answer?
This isn’t 1997. Telling the other poster that you’ve won isn’t going to win you an argument, online or offline.
But i have won. Obviously 97 was a tramatic year for you to bring it up all the time and doesn’t even add to whatever idiotic argument you are making.

For the record, I’m playing FFVI just now on GBA and I’m enjoying it. The characters have a good amount of personality and the feel of the world, including graphics and sound, are excellent. This is a game that was originally on the SNES. It doesn’t have “pretty graphics” to back up it’s “lack [of] substance”. Granted, FFVII is possibly the most overrated game of the 32bit age, but that doesn’t grant you licence to damn an entire series, particularly one of the most popular RPG series alongside Dragon Quest and Shining Force.

A completely non-sensical, overarcing and niave statement. This is how the majority of businesses are, mate. You need money to keep the company going: pay the workers, invest in new products, R&D, etc. Games are art when they can afford to BE art, such as the case of NiGHTS. If you want art all the time, clear your schedule for five hours, go to the Opera and watch Gotendammerung.

Shinobi has its fans, NG has its fans. I’ve clocked over 1000 hours on Ninja Gaiden/Black and counting, whilst some people I know online have that on Shinobi. Some prefer the Tate system, some prefer the general hack and slash of NG. Both games are excellent. Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3 is looking to be an exquisite game too.

I sure can’t argue those kinds of points! Congratulations on your internet victory!

Is there an ignore function that I’m not seeing? Goonboy is like, the most annoying person on the internet (that’s quite a feat, because I’m very annoying), and it would be fantastic if I could just cut his Sega butt-kissing posts out completely. He’s got his head so far up Sega’s collective ass that he types out Sega games in all caps, as if he were regurgitating a press release. Freaking weirdo.

Is this post even about Sega anymore? Wow this went downhill fast. I saw a lot of games mentioned that I had to comment on.

Halo: I wouldn’t call it crap. I could see the potential in there, but I would definitely call it overrated.

System Shock: Played the sequel. THIS is how you make a shooter.

Warcraft and Starcraft: I’m getting weary of the drag-and-click routine. Thus, Homeworld & Total War > Warcraft and Starcraft. Homeworld literally(okay, maybe not) made my jaw drop to the floor. Difficult, yet astoundingly beautiful and emotional. I’m not ashamed to call it the best strategy game ever. I’ve played Medieval, and it has its annoying limits.

Mechwarrior: Eat THAT Mechassault, you stupid affront to the series!

Just look at the ridiculously high score for HALO II and PDZ when both games sucked BIG time in single player mode , and were only really saved by their Multi Player modes, you then see the likes of Kung Fu Chaos , Riddick almost go unnoticed by some mag?s and just giving the game a average score , same happed with REZ with many so called professional reviewers just ?not? getting the game .

These day?s I?m sick of reviews going on about a game length in shooters like Panzer, Riddick, ICO ect only to then give High score to the short Gears Of War?s.
Bad examples mate

While I actually enjoyed the single player in Halo 2 (the first was waaay too long and repetitive), Riddick, Ico, and Panzer all scored in the 9’s. And heck, even Rez scored an 8, and I completely agree with that score.

If anything, it was the gamers (not the reviewers) that showed they had no interest in those games. Panzer was “on rails,” Riddick was a license that nobody cared about because the movie bombed, Rez was just “too weird,” and Ico… well, I generally think that was a Sony marketing screw up.
Oh granted ICO was, but I seen some reviews of REZ over here (some on a UK TV show, so I doubt you would have seen it sorry) where people just didn?t get it, and one reviewer saying the graphics were rubbish , when the graphics were pushing the DC to it very limits . In the Panzer Orta reviews many went on about the games length forgetting of course it was a shooter (what to they expect 80 + hrs of gameplay) , and while Riddick did ok the very fact that it was one of the best FPS ever , meant it should have done so much better .

HALO II was poor in my eye?s and in almost every area a backwards step , still given development was all over the place I?m amazed we got any sort of playable game. The Earth level was great, I?ll give you that, but to me it was a 5 out of 10 at best.

I agree with about gamers , unless it’s a war FPS then people didn’t want to know onthe X-Box, and most people knew even knew what ICO was much less it was out (thanks to a Non-existent PR from SONY) But I’ve never got the 'on-rails ’ comment when it comes to Panzer Dragoon . There’s no many shooters , that aren’t on rails But its seems to be only Panzer that’s singled out for this

And that’s why you lose. You don’t have the skills to debate with people properly and seem to lack the capacity of understanding a point of view which was already explained before you tried to bully me into admitting your nonsensical idea of me saying Sega western games are crap. So you go off into a tanrum. Quite predictable really and so “1997”.Keep entertaining us Parn.

I don’t get the NG and SHINOBI comparisions. Despite the lead characters being ninjas they are both two completly different games. One was essentially a beat 'em up with well designed levels and the other a flashy platform game produced on a low par system. If anything SHINOBI PS2 was more of Sega’s answer to Capcom’s DMC. Maybe the new SHINOBI arcade game will answer Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden that many people seem to be waiting for.

Oh noz! On rails! Give me the ability to go backwards to the empty space of destruction I left behind!

Taking the bait, because I’m a sucker!

I never tried to bully you into saying Sega Western games are crap, you tremendous faggot. I made that clear two posts ago. That was something you created in your own mind. I was bullying you into admitting that you think that say, Streets of Rage 4 would be better if it was made by Sega of Japan instead of Sega of America, just by name recognition alone, nevermind my stance that it shouldn’t even matter how many games Sega of Japan or Sega of America ships out on consoles when the company as a whole benefits. Saying one game is better than another doesn’t automatically mean I’m saying the other game is crap, you dumbass. Wow, this insults game sure is fun!

You’re the one who started the insults, not me. I’m not the one who claimed the other person was too dumb to understand the opposing view, too stupid to read, and so on (until now). By the way, it’s spelled tantrum. Christ, I’m debating with someone who has problems grasping basic words in the English language.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Oh, and I like how you capitalize Shinobi each time in the above post, but Ninja Gaiden isn’t cool enough to get that kind of treatment. Are you paid by Sega when you make message board posts about their games, or are you just a fucking weirdo?

Has this forum become corrupted? Because I see someone not doing their job of locking this topic for off-topic or banning or warning people for calling names when it comes to off-topic heated debate.

Yes, it’s obvious we should blame the moderators for this, who could ever think that people can realise what they are doing on their own and therefor stop when it has gone too far? And of course, since two people did not stop, we can just condemn the whole forum and, again, the moderators as corrupted… Logic.

Three days ago, you said this:

…and now you’re complaining about off-topic heated debate after contributing to the problem?

I’ll stop flaming when Goonboy quits telling me that I’m too stupid to understand his point when it’s a two-way street, and I could just as easily say that he’s too stupid to understand mine. I make wiseass comments on a consistent basis, sure… but I didn’t start throwing insults until he started telling me that I’m basically too stupid to read, over and over. Fuck him.

Since we’re in the business of talking down to each other, how about this, Goonboy. I used to work on and fix multimillion dollar radar equipment at my previous job, am currently coding DoD software, and I’m close to finishing two associates degrees and will be pursueing a bachelor’s degree afterwards. What the fuck do YOU do, smart guy?

She’s only 15, so obviously she’s doing nothing, except maybe getting knocked up or something along those lines. And since we’re playing the off-topic game, I’m going to ask you a question, Parn. WHY did you join the military? That has to be the dumbest move anyone can do – I know because I joined 10 years ago when I was incredibly naive and had no clear sense of direction. If I could go back in time, I would make damn sure I would never make such a mistake again. The fact that the US military is a full-fledged terrorist network filled with nothing but murderers, doesn’t help either.

But don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not bashing you in any way; I respect you as a person, but I certainly do not respect your current occupation and never will. If you want my advice, I’d get the hell out of there, go AWOL if you have to, before the shit hits the fan. Once people find out that the military has had access to technology that could virtually end poverty, hunger, and disease forever – and have been hording it for almost a century – the masses will revolt (even if they are incredibly stupid).

Most people think when they see UFOs in the sky, which is now occuring on a nightly basis, that the occupants are aliens - but this isn’t the case. As it turns out, 99.9% of all UFO activity is actually Black OPs military aircraft powered by Zero Point Energy. ZPE is the biggest top secret, and is the mother load of all energy sources mainly because it’s unlimited and non-toxic. The current energy crisis we are facing is a manufactured one - in other words, there never was an energy crisis. With this in mind, why is ZPE not being shared? The answer is simple: ZPE would destroy the entire monetary system; it would topple all forms of government; and would also destroy all forms of religion, virtually overnight, because ZPE will prove that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself, subjectively.

Now that the genie is out of the bottle, you need to watch Free Energy: The Race to Zero Point - you can download the whole film here:

Link

The main part of the film you need to pay very close attention to is between 1:21:45 - 1:34:35

Hahaha… Kadamose, I’ve known you for so many years now, and you still never cease to amaze me.

I joined because I had started college, but grew weary of it and basically wanted a break from schooling, and felt that the military was the best course of action. I don’t regret my choice either, though I currently miss my old electronics job since coding isn’t nearly exciting. It’s not nearly as stressful and busy though and so I’m focusing on finishing up my associates degrees…

BTW, you really should drop by you-know-where on IRC every once in awhile. I always get the bans removed since you bring a lot of life into the channel when you do stop by. I always get a kick out of our conversations, even though we usually don’t agree on a lot of stuff.

More fun tomorrow! Gotta sleep.
