Er… I listed upcoming games and those were only from one publisher. Post another list that only has the X-Box’s upcoming games… And I’ll post the third-party games for GCN that I can think - which admittedly isn’t a whole lot >_>.
Tales of Symphonia (PS2 version is currently Japan only)
Puyo Pop Fever
Mega Man X: Command Mission
Virtua Quest
Killer 7
Resident Evil 4
Baten Kaitos
Amazing Island
Yes, I realize that is crappy >_<. But it does have a few more good games, but they aren’t exclusive:
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (PC version is probably best… but it is here, so I’ll list it)
X-Men Legends
Viewtiful Joe 2
Call of Duty: Finest Hour
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent
Prince of Persia 2 (for lack of a better name >_>)
The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
Need for Speed 2 Underground
So about 22 exclusives (including Nintendo-published games…) and 8 other games that are probably going to be at least good in the next year… It isn’t perfect, but it makes me happy and that’s all I care about =).
And remember, only list games that are upcoming =/.
Never said any of the games I listed were being published or developed by Nintendo. See, I’m not the one stating what games are first party or third party on Nintendo. I was just listing games. You however, were being very specific in your previous post. Nice try, though.
Keep pulling things out of your ass. Megaman X Command mission is a traditional RPG, not another platformer. That alone negates anything you just said. Controls are hardly an issue in a menu-based game, and there has never been a Megaman RPG before. Read the actual E3 articles at a site other than www.ihatenintendogamecubesoigetmygamingnewshere.org.
I have a subscription to Gamespot Complete, IGN Insider, and have close ties to RPGFan’s editors since I used to work there. You see, my impressions are based on the impressions all the staffers of the above three sites had. All three were there at E3 when games were showcased.
I’m not sticking around Xbox for Fable or Sudeki. Not when I can sell the console and game library that I have, and get a few hundred bucks to buy games that I KNOW will be good on the other two consoles (that’s where reputation and reliability come in instead of the promise that they will be good on Xbox, and leaving myself open for disappointment. They had their chance to impress at E3 and they didn’t. A mere video alone for Zelda completely overshadowed anything Xbox had to offer. Zelda has always been known for awesome gameplay, but now it finally has a more mature look. It’s going to be a big seller next year, and a guaranteed hit.
I’ll take one guaranteed hit over two “possible hits” any day of the week. My days of letting myself be disappointed are over.
But at its core, is still a fighting game that fails to keep my interest longer than a few days. I don’t have to realize anything, because I already realize that fighting games don’t keep my attention. D-d-d-deal with it?
Ensures. And, good for DOA Online, I guess. Considering you’re in the UK, you’re going to have some latency issues playing against anyone NOT in the UK. In games like Phantasy Star Online, half a second to a second of latency didn’t matter, but in a fighting game where it’s strictly one on one, it makes all the difference.
Animal Crossing 2. Resident Evil 4. Road Rash: Jailbreak. Several others too, though none of them interest me. In fact, none of the Xbox games you mentioned interest me, and aside from the new Zelda and Animal Crossing 2, nothing else announced interests me on GameCube, either. But two games is more than zero.
If you hadn’t noticed, no one is really buying ANY sports games from Sega. They just happen to sell considerably less on GameCube because no one buys a GameCube to get access to freaking sports games. EA Sports games have always sold considerably more than Sega Sports games. Look at Sega’s latest attempt at trying to get interest… debuting their latest sports game for $20. Good luck.
Outrun II is a game worth buying the Xbox for? Wait, I thought we should wait and play games for ourselves before passing judgement? Just my opinion, but I hardly consider a racing game justification for forking down $149, but that’s just me I suppose.
From developers that I don’t even really care about.
Then next time, say Forza and not Fonza.
Long story short, you go ahead and enjoy your Xbox. I instead, will enjoy my GameCube and PlayStation 2, systems where I know games I’m interested in won’t be scrapped and/or not ported after waiting patiently for two years for idiotic reasons. Tell me… how does it feel, knowing you won’t be able to play Phantom Dust because it has been decided that the game won’t release outside of Japan, a game developed by a group with several key staff members from Team Andromeda no less, that is ALREADY TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH, hmm? Pretty stupid decision I’d say, and it tells me a lot about the route Xbox’s business model is now taking. And it stinks.
And that’s my final word on the matter. I want playable games, not promises followed by cancellations.
LOL Are you for really. 1st of all games like RE 4, Road Rash aren’t beinging made or published by NCL. I talked about games that were coming from M$ thier selfs (like you asked). There’s loads of 3rd party games coming out for the X-Box too.
I can play Phantom Dust thanks, seeing as I have a Mod X-Box. And what stoping another 3rd party picking up the game, like what happend with O.TO.GI ?.
You taked about Animal Crossing II, well the 1st game still isn’t even out on Pal. How I feel for the poor Pal users LOL
You can play Out Run II is the Arcades if you haven’t notice. And since you like to form your views on X-Box games by what people say.
Maybe should read the reviews of Out Run II, of which many say it’s a winner, and a joy to play.
Seeing as it’s running on the Chihiro (X-Box) arcade board it should be a flawless port. And with LIVE play should be awesome. That’s something which the CUBE can’t offer, think there’s about 3 Online games for the Cube, and that’s about it
Why will DOA U have lag issues. I can play PGR II,FSW, RB 6 Part III with my american friends with little problems. If programmed right DOA U should be fine .
SEGA Sports games are millon sellers and are great fun on LIVE. And thanks to Rockstart (don’ make any CUBE games btw) The new price point should insure even better sales.

VF Quest, Viewtiful Joe, Killer 7, Pyo Pyo are all coming out for the PS 2. Call of Duty, and the EA games you talked about or coming out for both the X-Box and P2 with Online play
What coming from NCL next year (be that in-house or published)? Apart from Zelda and Star Fox I can?t think of any.
Here goes…
Pikmin 2
Donkey Konga
Paper Mario 2
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Star Fox 2 (current name…)
Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki
Mario Tennis
Mario Party 6
Geist
The Legend of Zelda
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Advance Wars: Under Fire
Odama
Animal Crossing 2 (it has been announced…)
And third-party support isn’t perfect, but it isn’t as terrible as some make it seem… And Ninty is in no danger of dying yet. They have 8 billion dollars and have only had one quarter period (3 months) with a loss in over 100 years… I don’t know why people expect them to suddenly announce that they are quitting…
I asked for next year. Stuff like Donkey Konga , Paper Mario, Pikmin II, Prime II, Mario Tennis are due THIS YEAR.
Wow NCL have some money in bank (thanks to GB/GBA sales)
M$ could buy them outright if they wanted too, with just the cash they have in the bank, never mind thier shares.
Nobody said there are qutitting, but anybody can see the Cube is getting killedin the US, and Europe in terms of sales.
You truly are a moron. This is the second time. Go read my posts again. I never once asked what Microsoft was publishing or developing themselves. In fact, here… I’ll quote myself to save you some time. Important part is bold faced, italicized, and underlined for the short yellow bus.
Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2004 12:35 am
Pikmin 2. Tales of Symphonia. Megaman X Command Mission (PlayStation 2 gets this too, though GameCube will have the better graphics… too bad Xbox is completely left out). Xmen Legends. Next year, GameCube and PlayStation 2 are getting some really high profile titles. ***What is Xbox bringing to the table next year?***
“What is Xbox bringing to the table next year?” does NOT EQUAL “What is Microsoft developing and publishing themselves next year?” Do you get it yet, or are we going for a third run?
Good for you on the modded Xbox. So you have to circumvent the system… I did the same thing with the Saturn and Dreamcast, but it cost me extra money doing that. With the GameCube and PlayStation 2, those really neat Japanese games somehow manage to make it in a readable language just fine, and I don’t have to fork out extra dough. I’m not modifying anymore systems to play games I can’t read anymore. Phantom Dust is a special case in that it’s been translated in English by the Japanese developers, but the question is, will the import version have an English language option? You better cross your fingers.
Importing for Xbox doesn’t seem to be an issue for you, so why not GameCube? Double standards LAWL

I got an Xbox bundled with Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT 2002. You want to know how many minutes I put down on Sega GT? None. Zero. Zilch. I didn’t even turn the thing on. Racing games are about as deep as driving to the local Walmart. I don’t need a videogame to drive.
Yep, and if I want to play an online game, I just fire up my copy of City of Heroes on my PC, a platform which has way more online gaming than the Xbox could ever offer. Voice chat services are plentiful as well. Whoop-dee-freaking-doo for Xbox. The one online game that did matter to me for the Xbox got axed.
Microsoft had a chance to steal the PlayStation 2’s thunder with True Fantasy Live Online, not to mention finally get a foothold in the Japanese market by offering an alternative to Final Fantasy XI, and they threw it away. They threw away their one unique looking, innovative MMORPG that would have finally introduced something other than another Everquest clone to the genre. THREE YEARS of development just thrown aside because they didn’t want to have another delay. Well hell, let’s throw away Halo 2 and Fable Microsoft, they’ve gotten delayed a lot too. You’ve already nailed the coffin in Japan, you could finish yourselves off in the US while you’re at it. Retards… this whole scenario with them is like a repeat of Sega all over again. So how do you plan on winning the Japanese over with Xbox Next, Microsoft? More promises and then cancelling games? It’s not working with Xbox if you hadn’t noticed.
A half a second can make all the difference in the world in a fighting game. Apparently the mechanics on how the internet actually works and the limitations of it are missed on you, so I won’t even bother going further.
And good luck to them.
BTW, since you have a modded Xbox, how are you playing on Xbox Live? I thought Xbox Live was “secure” and locked people out if they modified their Xbox in any fashion.
It’s all good. Enjoy your Xbox, for what it’s worth. I just happen to think the potential of the platform has been tossed aside. Most of the games I’m interested in are developed by Japanese companies, and Xbox offers the least in this respect. So I’m taking my gaming elsewhere.

M$ probably couldn’t buy them. I know that they have about $42 billion, but that $8 billion is just Nintendo’s net worth. When you factor in that they easily profit over $400 million (sometimes as high as $600 million) a year, the price shoots up. And the fact that M$ would get all of their franchises, etc.? The price would shoot up even higher. I couldn’t imagine Ninty being sold for less than $12 billion, and by that time, it wouldn’t be cost-effective for M$ to buy them.
Considering how few consoles they sell in comparison to Sony, they do pretty damn well. Nintendo made $297 million in 2003, and their overall sales were $4.61 billion. They would’ve profited more, but the weak dollar hurt them (all of their money is in the dollar; if the dollar’s value falls, so do their profits.). They are expecting to make $4.7 billion in sales for the fiscal year of 2005 and $620 million in profits.
Sony’s game division had $6.47 billion in sales. They profited $620 million. Considering that the only reason that Nintendo didn’t profit about $500+ million is because of the weak dollar and that Sony was helped by the strong yen and euro, Sony didn’t exactly own them…
And the GCN isn’t doing great, but it is basically dead even with the X-Box, basically thanks to Japan.
And I’m sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking for. I thought you meant “within the next year”, which would mean any games coming out between now and next summer.

Ok 1st point sorry for the insult.
“…support for the Xbox is failing. Currently, Microsoft is riding on the Halo 2 swan-song, and it’s going to bite them in the ass. Nintendo did the same kind of crap with their Nintendo 64, hyping up one single game at a time while a slew of garbage kept releasing on their system. What do you plan on doing when Halo 2 releases, Microsoft? What single game are you going to hype up next.”.
That sounds a lot like you were asking what was coming from M$ thier selfs.
How much have you played on LIVE mate ? Not a lot going by your comments. Voice chat isn’t the best feature, it’s the easy of use and the brilliant friend sytem, thats the best part.
I have 2 X-Box’s so LIVE isn’t a problem. Also there are other ways around it, either by a switched fitted (to knock off the Mod chip), or most people just use a system disc which allows you to select the region of the X-Box.
Yes timing makes all the diff in fighting games, but as SEGA showed with VO II. With good coding it can be done. SEGT GT does not play anything like Out Run II. Out Run Isn?t a deep sim. It?s all about fun, and dodging in and out of traffic
I talked about AC crossing because you went on about PD not coming to the West. Well you had to mod or get the Action replay disc for the Cube if you wanted to play AC on a Pal CUBE. BTW you do not need to mod the DC to play imports.
I also find it every hard to believe that you would have bought LIVE just for 1 game (TFOL).And do you think M$ were happy to stop development of that game, after funding the project for years?. It had more to do with the fcat that it was going to pushed back untill next year in Jp
Unless you on planet Mars you would know that the X-Box is killing the Cube in weekly sales in both America and Europe. In Fact the Cube strudels to sell a 1000 cubes a week in the UK, compared to M$ weekly fig of 14,000.
So It?s NCL that doing a good impression of SEGA.
And you comment on Japanese games makes little or no sense. BliNX, DOA III, DOA XVB, O.TO.GI, Crimson Sea, Orta, JSRF, Ninja Gadien all made it to the west. There’s quite a few Jp Cube games that don’t make it out over here you know
Simply put, if you can afford an Xbox and one game, and you don’t own Otogi, or indeed to intend to own Otogi 2 (which is looking like the lovliest game on the planet), then you sir offend me!
My cube gathers dust. Nintendo support for Europe is frankly appalling. I dont get why people bigged up Prime either, a very very dull game. Metroid’s transition to 3d really hasnt worked, as back-tracking exploring in 2d is faster than prolonged agonising back-tracking and respawning enemies in 3d. I also bought a cube for Mario 128, (since Sunshine was pretty damn crap). Now tho, it seems like 128 will be for the next console. The New LoZ looks good, i only hope it does more gameplay wise than Wind Waker did (OH HAY ITS OOT, BUT WITH A BATON!!111). Console wise, I think Nintendo and the cube are heading out of the war. Theyre already marketing their next console as “something different” and constantly saying that “graphics cant get any better!” suggesting their console simply wont match the Xenon and PS3 for power. The GC has been privelagged to be the middle-range console of this war (even then, only shifting when its price is cut to absurd lowness), but in the next battle for it to be the lowest, and a track record of failing 3rd party support each and every time, its not hard to see the end in sight, and see them focussing exclusively on the handheld market they now desperately need to keep their own.
Bit of a rant there, but if any one of you Xbox owners doesnt buy Otogi 2 when it comes out (WINTER 2004, yeah great release date ta Sega), I will kick you in the willy.
Er… The X-Box may be killing the GCN in Europe, I don’t know… But it is the exact opposite in Japan:
4,690 GCN’s sold
493 X-Box’s sold
I don’t see why there is an argument… It is completely back-and-forth… They are basically even. And it isn’t as though either console sucks… I just happen to like the games the come out of NCL ^_^.

The argument came up because you brought up his bull crap about M$ going the way of SEGA, M$ only hyping up 1 game, and3rd party support drying up(LOL).
Yes The X-Box is a dead duck in Jp, but it?s selling very well in Europe and more importantly the US. That?s the only market that is growing, while the JP market is shrinking . So the X-Box won’t be going the way of the DC
And I never said the Cube sucks. People like you hat to bring up all this bullsh8t about the X-Box (TFO was going to make all the diff),plus had to point how you were so disappointed with the system, and getting rid of it.
When did I say I ever had one? When did I say it sucks? Tell me where I said that, because I have been very careful not to outright bash any system >_>.
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and I’ve even said I have not ruled out the possibility of getting an X-Box one day. So excuse me if I don’t take your opinion seriously. You obviously don’t know my opinion on these things, otherwise you would never have made such inane comments.
What in the hell are you talking about? I never said a thing about that.
I never said a thing about it going to way of the DC. M$ has $42 billion+; they can afford to lose over $2 billion from their X-Box division because they are so huge that they can profit from the rest. I don’t know what you think you are arguing about because I agree that it isn’t going the way of the DC. I think you think I’m someone else T_T.

Mistook you fo somebody else, You right I?m in the wrong. Sorry for confusing you with somebody else’s views. A case of look before you leap.
I doubt you?ll believe it, but for what it?s worth
