Look at those #s Sega clearly has the most success on Nintendo’s Gamecube and done the worst on Xbox. Way to go Sega:’(. If only it had been on cube there would be a new RPG.

Skies of Arcadia only sold that much? Damn… There goes my hopes for getting a sequel :(. But apparently Ninty fans like Sega now ^_^.

I seriously doubt that PD Orta would have been a greater success on Gamecube (in fact, I think it would have sold even less). Look at the top 6 Sega games on Gamecube: they’re either Sonic or Monkey Ball. The rest only sold as much copies as PD Orta on XBox.

Yep.They are a bunch of hypocrites.I’ve heard so many bad things about sega from many Nintendo fans; after the Dreamcast however Sega is suddenly the best…

Well Monkey Ball is awesome ^_^. But I know your point… Was Orta advertised much? Because the only reason I knew about it was by reading the announcement for it =/. It probably would’ve sold better with decent advertising, if it didn’t have any…

Edit: Gehn, are you talking about during the Genesis/SNES days? Because that is the only time I really heard a lot of that talk =/.

I really doubt it would have sold any better on the CUBE. And if were on the Cube it wouldn’t have looked or sounded as good.

1 could say that the only decent market for shooters these days is on the PS2.

Over 100,000 for a 3D shooters isn’t that bad given the market place today. Plus Orta is 1of the best selling 3rd party X-box games in Jp (not hard I know).

Can’t get over how a sub par port of Sonic can sell so much on the Cube

I think the Ninty fanboys liked Sonic all along and couldn’t bring themselves to admit it XD. Also… Yeah you may be right about Orta selling well on X-Box in Japan, but the X-Box sells only a couple hundred a week there =/.

Mumei : I meant that only when Sega started making games for Nintendo consoles did Nintendo fanboys start admitting it was a company with high quality games.

Oh. Well I had a SNES, but my babysitter had a Genesis when I was younger. I sort of had both ^_^. Sonic 2 w00t =D.

I couldn’t believe it either. The frame rate in Sonic Adventure DX is never constant and when it drops it slows to a crawl. The minor and rare slowdown in the original Dreamcast version of the game was understandable, but for a conversion of the game to suffer from worse and far more frequent slowdown on a more power console is unacceptable in every sense of the word.

I’ve even read that Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for the GameCube is riddled with bugs that weren’t present in the Dreamcast version.

Are GameCube owners blind or something?

I’m a GCN owner… And no, I’m not blind. I don’t have any of the Sonic games, just the Monkey Ball games and Skies of Arcadia Legends ^_^. I <3 Skies ^^.

I read that too.

Also read that the sound in the CUBE port of SOA isn’ta patch on the DC version.

What D-Unit said. PDO isn’t exactly the kind of game that GC audiences would have gone for, anyway. Contrary to what others might think, it still is the “kiddie” system when it comes to audiences. I’m not saying all GC owners are kids (It did have Resident Evil, after all), but the XBOX is directed towards the more hardcore gamer, which fits the bill for the PD series.

Not to mention the fact that the XBOX’s capabilities surpass the GC.

Are you kidding me??? Xbox is for hardcore gamers wtf are you talking about. Since Sega left Nintendo is the only hardcore company. Its the only company that makes challenging games anymore. Xbox is for fat pc nerds who cant get laid. DoA, that isnt “mature” is just dirt ball (not that i dont play doa3 but xbv wtf?) The american consumer has this notion that sci-fi and fantasy are kiddie and PDO is sci-fi. And PDO is like starfox which nintendo fans love. Further mroe the only xbox owners I know who liked or own PDO are more so cube fans.

hahaha

i don’t think this forum is for you. :frowning:

Hmm… Well bomberman is wrong about Ninty being “hardcore”; their games are easier than most. Some are a bit harder of course (ie. F-Zero GX), but I’d say those are more the exception than the rule.

But you are still completely wrong when it comes to the whole “kiddy” thing. The average age right now for a GCN owner is about 18 or 19. Younger than PS2 and X-Box owners, but not exactly “kiddy.”

And besides that, PS2 has the most games for the younger set =/. GCN just has good games that are targeted more towards the younger set, but anyone who isn’t completely immature could play them without feeling embarassed.

I’m not saying PS2 and X-Box suck, though X-Box isn’t quite to my liking from what I’ve seen, but I don’t see the point of the Ninty bashing =/.

LOL Try playing Ninja Gadien and O.TO.GI II and tell me they are easy games.

And my, how games like Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Kart, Pokemon (LOL) are so grown up.

The CUBE is known for being a kids machine. Like NCL would even let GTA III on thier so-called hardcore machine.

They even censored Duke Nukmem 3D forheven sake. While Saturn owners enjoyed the full un-cut version.

And words fail me what happend with Mortal Kombat on the Snes

I agree that right now GC is the most “childish” console in terms of games. It’s not the game themselves but the worlds they are often based on…

I’m quite happy with XBox’s line up so far and co paring with PS2 and GC I think the XBox one is better.

Childish /= Easy or hardcore >.>

The X-Box is not a hardcore system, just as the GCN isn’t a kiddy system. That is merely a stereotype that people want to believe to make themselves feel better about their choice.

If X-Box were truly for hardcore gamers, then the so-called hardcore games would sell better. And if GCN was a kiddy system, then the average age would be 12 to 15, which is commonly considered the kiddy age group. And you can bring up Nintendo’s past with censoring games, but they didn’t censor BMX XXX (not saying it was a good game…), yet Sony did. Does anyone accuse the PS2 of being kiddy?

And I seriously doubt bomberman was saying that Ninty’s games were hardcore, though F-Zero GX was. And yes, I know who really developed that game ^_^. But you can’t go saying that Ikaruga and Viewtiful Joe (try getting all V’s T_T) are easy games just because they don’t look mature.

I’m just wondering, but how many of you actually own a current generation console besides an X-Box? Because if you don’t actually own one of the other two, your comments are probably based on what you’ve heard and not the truth.

I don’t have a problem with you not liking something, but I could do without the bashing of my opinions -_-.

I own all 3 mate. Just saying that if you look at the line of games then it the X-Box that?s getting it?s fair share of bloody FPS, War games, and realistic driving games. Those games are aimed at the old gamer.
When in comparison the bulk of the Cube line up is aimed to the younger gamer. That?s just in general.

Of course there?s kiddy type games the X-Box and some adult type game for the Cube. On balance thought there?s more adult based game on the X-Box
