I think there’s been another topic like this before, but I was just wondering: what web browsers do people here use in 2005? I’m currently a Firefox user, myself.

Firefox all the way!
Still on Mozilla. Been meaning to get Firefox but too lazy to download it when old-fashioned Mozilla is working just fine.
Firefox for this bloke, though I mainly use it for the tabs, if I’m being honest. But it’s supposed to be a lot better - that’ll do me!
I use Firefox but i really don’t find it better then my latest browser of choice - Netscape Navigator 7.2.
It had tabs and a good pop-up blocker too.I was sick of it’s visual style so >I changed for a while.
Internet Explorer works fine for me. Only net related problems I have are on AOL’s part.

addons.update.mozilla.org/theme … on=firefox
There’s a nice selection of themes for Firefox there if you feel like a change again, including the theme used in Netscape 7.2. It does certainly have an appealing interface. Technically Netscape is very similar to Firefox since they both use the Gecko engine, although I think Firefox is more widely supported now as it gets security updates out faster.
Any Opera users here?
Internet Explorer, but lately that has been giving me problems.
I have heard great things about Firefox so I might have to give that a try. I know my firend uses Mozilla and thinks its pretty good as well; I think Microsoft is steadily losing the browser wars if you will.
Firefox for me
Althought for my dreamcast i use the SA2 browser since its the only thing i can connect with on my DC =)
Obrigado Solo.Nice selection.

Microsoft are going to be releasing IE 7 soon, but I don’t think it’s going to be the browser that some of us were hoping for. It will supposedly contain a tabbed interface and some much needed security updates (which is definitely a good start), but it will still not have full CSS 2.1 support which means that it can’t take advantage of some of the more advanced features that standards compliant browsers can use like allowing elements other than links to change appearance when they’ve hovered over. Like Arcie said, IE works just fine for the most part - and that’s simply because most sites are designed with IE in mind. The irony is, it doesn’t matter how well alternative browsers like Firefox are implemented, we will still have to wait until IE catches up before these standards can realistically be implemented across the majority of websites. It’s quite possible that we won’t see a proper upgrade of IE until Longhorn comes out.
Who knows how long that will be? I remember reading a couple months back in PC Magazine that Longhorn was behind schedule but looked promising. Current estimates state it to be released at the end of 2006 from what i’ve read.
Internet Exploder, part force of habit, part because I don’t want to tap in all my passwords on the forums that I visit again in Firefox. XD
You can import settings and I think that function also works for all the cookies and other saved things alongside the favorites.
I think Microsoft are currently trying to figure out ways to actually get people to feel that they need to upgrade to Longhorn before actually releasing it. With XP being so solid, there isn’t going to be many reasons for people to shell out for an unnecessary upgrade especially when XP is more than capable of doing what most businesses and home users need a computer for. It’s possible that MS might release some of the extras as an add-on for XP, but who knows? We shall see what happens, I guess.
Firefox is my main browser, and IE6 comes second. Some site functionalities are only for IE, so I have to use it then, but otherwise Firefox wins me over. I’ve tried skins for Firefox, but they all suck, so I just stick with the default, which is good. My third choice would be Opera.
