Even so the room was still way too small, remember that one of Lance’s points was that Lundi couldn’t possibly reach it from where he was… That’s how big the room was, PDS doesn’t depict anything like that at all.

Well PDS also makes it look like the dragon’s width is pratically the same as that of Shelcoof’s.
But in PDS shelcoof was missing more than half its ‘body’ (lack of a better word)
edit: nevermind. You said widht not lenght.
Yes. Now I understood what you mean. The damn thing interior was huge in PDZ but in PDS the ship was much smaller.
Off Topic: We should start speaking in portuguese X)

Sestren shouts the words “Activation of D-Type 01 (pronounced zero one) confirmed” in its final memory orb, which is a statement that coincides with what the Tower said at the beginning of Panzer Dragoon: “Activation of Unit 01 confirmed”. Couldn’t that mean Dragon Prototype 01?
Since we never find out who or what the elusive Unit 02 actually was, I believe Sestren’s actual words (in its final memory orb) could be referring to another prototype dragon (the Heresy dragon).[/quote]
I always thought the Dark dragon’s rider was Unit 01, and the voice emanating from the Tower was actually voice of the Tower itself, and not Sestren. When Sestren says “Activation of D-Type 01 confirmed”, he may be referring to the rider, and not the Dark Dragon. I realise this would mean that the Dark Dragon’s rider is in fact D-Type 01, but is this really impossible? In the case of Lagi, a program downloaded itself into a coolia, but what would happen if it downloaded itself into another being…
About the dragon crests: my theory on the ending of PD Zwei is that Lundi found Lagi’s body somewhere inside Shelcoof, and thought he was dead because it was stone cold. After further exploring Shelcoof, he discovered the dragon crest. This made him believe Lagi could still be alive in some way, but he probably didn’t understand the full meaning. In between PD Zwei and PD1, Lagi’s dead body regenerated (like the Guardian dragon in PD Saga), and Lagi reappeared. His genetic information was still stored in the dragon crest, and later he went back to retrieve the baby dragon (this baby dragon was simply a backup for Lagi, so he could able to switch back to his blue dragon form).

I would love to think this is possible.
The other forum members would get crazy: What are they saying?! What are they saying?! XD
Crests.: If i remember well (and my memory already betrayed me once in this thread the crest at the end of PDZ was different from all others. The other crests are almost simbolic, surrealist representations of a dragon.
But the PDZ’s crest is a perfect representation of the dragon you end the game with. It’s very different from the other crests and it should be special.
Baby Dragon.: A crazy theory. The Baby Dragon looks exactly like the Lundi’s coolia. The heresy Dragon used his body to achieve its objectives and, as a the decent and noble software it was, it released the tiny coolia from his obligations after sheelcoof. It was sleeping in the crest and was liberated by Edge. After that he was needed again to form the solo wing and, bravely, he was ready for action again.
After sestren’s defeat he makes that quick cameo at the end of PDS. And then… I didn’t played orta yet so I don’t know what happens.
the coolias are biped creatures in fact, i think the scientific name is ornitishia (bird pelvis). how comes lagi runs on all four limbs in Orta?
to me this was the worst design fault in a PD game ever. “hey let’s make the dragon green and carnivore. to make it more similar to a medieval phantasy dragon.” sure…
when you play the box game with the panzer wing(?) the game looks so much more panzer!
Well yeah they ARE biped but he already grew bigger “arms” in order to develop them into wings so I don’t see too much wrong with them starting to turn back into more “arm-like” things from being a full wing. I agree though that was my least favorite dragon form, I preffered the others (glide/heavy) cos it wasn’t so obvious they had actual “arms”.
In any case he’s not a pure type anymore, he’s mutated…
I don’t like that the new baby also has 4 legs but I think that the baby coolias seen in PDZ’s intro did have 4 legs as well and that only in adult coolias the front “legs” were underdeveloped and looking more like tiny arms… So who knows maybe, hopefully, this baby dragon will evolve in a similar manner the original Lagi did before Orta.
well actually the wings of birds, flying dinosours and therefor dragons are made pf gigantik index fingers.
in orta lagi’s wings are totally diferent, they seem to be attached to his upper arms. to me it was obvious that the designers wanted to make the drgaon more “dragonlike” because that is better to sell… whatever.
Hmm… if the Heresy dragon was meant to destroy the Towers as a part of the ancients’ plan, then why only create or release a single dragon program? The gold/Dark Dragon could’ve been another dragon designed to destroy the physical Towers, but realised it was too soon…
I doubt the Heresy dragon originally adopted that name, if it was created by the ancients.
Well the word Heresy has a meaning…
KFC: I agree with you;it doens’t feel as Panzer but the fact si that in Zwei the dragon also walked on four members.
Btw, who said the Coolia is biped??
Just the fact that all the coolias we have seen ever since the intro of PDZ are bipedal? All the adult coolias that is, like I said in my previous post the baby coolia they kill in the intro has 4 legs if I remember right. I guess their front legs underdevelop during their growth resulting in that almost dinosaur like look they employ.
Still another possibility is that the coolia they kill is also mutated and that’s why it has 4 normal legs rather than the front ones being underdeveloped. They did call it a mutant after all, maybe the blue-white light in it’s throat wasn’t the only change of the mutation. I doubt that though that’s how they are all born propably…
And no, the dragon runs on two legs in Zwei, not on four…where did you see ever see Lagi walk on four besides in Orta…
You are right I dind’t.
Good lord. I responded to this topic late last night and when I come back? It’s unbelieveably huge! o_O
That’s a really good point. So many of the other ruins have a vocal means of communication, it’d make sense if the Towers could talk in some fashion even if they don’t do so to human beings.
I tend to agree with this too. Although the voice could feasibly be Sestren’s, it’s both a different voice actor and it also says different lines to Sestren. (Though admittedly the voice and lines are quite similar, they are ultimately not the same.)
Even more striking than this, though, is later in the game when the voice says it is “receiving instructions” from Unit 01 - the Dark Dragon (and possibly its Drone rider). It would seem a little odd for Sestren to be receiving orders from one of its underlings, but of course for an automated machine like the Tower this would make perfect sense.
I’m tempted to believe that it was just the Tower’s own automated voice, though I guess it doesn’t make much of a difference either way…
And just for the sake of digressing, I always liked the wierd effect the auto-voices had in Saga. To my surprise, I discovered that it was used before by another production. The Zentraedi in the original Macross (before it was rewritten and dubbed into Robotech) have the same wierd effect in their voices.
Now back to the subject at hand.
