I’d still go with hippotank.com over all of those, but that’s just me.
Nothing wrong with .net either. It may not be quite as common as .com, but unless you’re aiming at the (really) causal internet user who doesn’t know that anything exists besides .com, I think either .com or .net should be just fine. Like computerLizard pointed out, technically .com is meant for commerical sites.
I dunno… I could give you some of my little Synj-esque thingies I have on deviant art… But I don’t know what good that’d do… Hmmm… ILLEGAL DOWNLOADS! That attracts traffic! lol
