My one’s been broken for a while, but I just won another Saturn off an online auction site. So now I can play PDS once again XD
Sega’s Saturn had some truely brilliant games. Which games sparked your interest the most? Some of my favorites are Guardian Heroes, Shining Force III, and Dark Saviour (and the Panzer games obviously).
Aside from Panzer Saga, NiGHTS, Xmas NiGHTS, Shining Force 3 and tomb Raider were massive assive favourites of mine. So were Sonic R, Sega Rally, SWWS98 and Sonic Jam.
I was actually going to create this topic last night, but never got around to it o.o
Resident Evil (Them dobermans crashing through the windows scared the s** outa me)
*Shining Force III (That Synbios guy doesn’t say one bleedin’ word in the whole game!)
*NiGHTS into Dreams (Addictive & musically soothing) Christmas NiGHTS (I like opening presents ) Duke Nukem 3D (The most funnest game on the Saturn, eh Duke? * Duke: EAT SHT AND DIE! I see.)
*Exhumed (Good brain scratcher, I couldn’t even find one team doll without a guide )
*Wipeout 2097 (Proved the Saturn is just as capable graphically as the PS, except for transparencies of course :o )
***Tomb Raider **(They look so…pointy. Ow my eyeeeeeeeeeeeee)
*Panzer Dragoon Saga (Hmm, not bad I suppose )
*Daytona USA (Fast chaotic fun)
*SEGA Rally (Gettin’ 47 seconds for 1 lap on the Desert stage with the Stratos felt gooood)
*Virtua Fighter 2 (My sister owned me at this game)
*Sonic R (Godda luv dem tunes XD )
Hopefully I’m gonna add Shining The Holy Ark, Shining Wisdom, Dragon Force and Guardian Heroes to the list when I get round to playing them. Could anyone suggest an order for me? I’m stuck as to which to play first.
He does actually. If you play the other scenarios, actual text replaces what were only dots before when you play the role of his character. When you play as Medion in scenario 2, it is he who says nothing when encountering Synbios. This was done for the sake of leaving what they say up to your imagination.
And yes, the complete Shining Force 3 (all three scenarios combined) took the Shining series to the next level in stylish fashion.
All the Sonic Team games, the Panzer games, Athlete kings, Sonic R, Quake (which I now can’t find) ;( and Exhumed, which I only rented out of Blockbuster but it ruled.

I thought he was either a very shy character or he was mute lol
Come to think of it, Synbios does actually speak in SFIII: when it’s his turn to attack during a battle he says things when he performs a particular move!
Like you Geoff’, I’m really hoping for SEGA to release all 3 scenarios as a fully translated set. SEGA has been busy releasing old classics through it’s SEGA Ages brand recently (not to mention Sonic and his Mega Collections) and I’m praying they will finally acknowledge SF as a worthy candidate. People need to play this game as originally intended i.e. as a complete set.

In some ways I think the Saturn was a forerunner to current consoles. In that with an add-on it played VCDs (as with todays DVD consoles) and it also had (limited) internal memory (like the Xbox)
The problem with the Saturn was that developers on a whole never really tried to get much out of it…but the ones that did (Team Andromeda, Travellers Tales, Lobotomy and Sonic Team) really showed what the system was capable of.
The first ever Saturn game I played was Sega Rally.
GAME OVER, YEEAAAAHH…!!
The day I bought my Saturn was also the day I got PDS for ten additional dollars from my friend.
The PD series was the one that caught my eye for the system, but it took a long time before I got one.
=D
when i got a sega saturn for xmas i was amazed!!! (i was expecting a snes… it was xmas 97)
I loved it to bits! SOnic R was just amazing, Sega Rally, Winter heat, Duke Nukem, Sonic Jam, and loooooooooads more… brb checking my sega rally lap time
