Okay everyone its time to dust your Saturns off and put your Panzer Dragoon Zwei skills to the test. Its time to attempt the PDZ Winged Death 100% Shoot Down Ratio Challenge!
RULES: Get 100% on every episode, with the title Winged Death and post your score. If you can show evidence of your incredible feet via a pic from your TV screen than that’s great but if not, well when posting your scores please be honest. You can save after each level. Be sure after acquiring a 100% on any given level to immediately kill your dragon by pressing (L+R+A+B+C) on the next level, then save and quit and continue your task on the next level. If you are going for the highest possible score please take all of the hardest roots, this is what I did and after much practice I received all 100&'s. If you need help on which root to take you can refer to the well written PDZ guides which can be found at www.gamefaqs.com The person with the highest score will be deemed the PDZ champion until defeated by a higher score. So lets get started.
HERE IS MY SCORE
So my score is the one to beat so far (670280pts.)
Try your best the challenge is on!!!
Hey, I’ll give it a try, but I am pretty bad skill-wise at Zwei! But this is an interesting challenge.
And well done on that score. That is some real skill!
Ahh, I remember when I got totally obsessed with that game and worked so hard to get a 100% shotdown ratio so I could unlock all the options in PanDra’s box. I think my total gameplay timer was like 30 hours, but later my savegame got erased when my Saturn’s battery died . Donno if I can do that again though, I’d probably get frustrated that I’ve forgotten how to play the game and break my Saturn out of anger.
BTW, for this are we allowed to save after each level and then replay a level if we missed any enemies?
I think I’ll pass. I can never beat 98.9%.
I managed to shoot down every single enemy in PD Zwei while taking all the hardest routes in each Episode once many, many years ago.
I actually succeeded thanks to the aid of CVG’s excellent Winged Death guide whereby the author took you through the most difficult areas step-by-step.
PDZ is one of those games that I pretty much mastered.I’m up for the challenge.I’ll ask my sister to take a picture of my tv set with her cell phone camera
I’d like to give it a try, but I have only got 100% on Zwei a few times, and that was back when I played it pretty much non-stop. I’m too out of shape at it to really compete right now.
Good luck, try and do it on Zero damage aswell.
EDIT - sorry I can’t see no stats for that on that game. Never played it myself.
Rules part 2:Yeah you can save after each level. If you need help on which root to take you can refer to the well written PDZ guides which can be found at http://www.gamefaqs.com
That wasn’t much of a rule 2…the only difference was the whole saving thing after every level.
Anyways, I’ll give it a go but it’s been a while since I got a 100% run.
You’re an evil man for posting this topic. =P
Well maybe I should join the Empire then.lol
I don’t want to kill poor Lagi. ;.; Why would one have to do that anyway?
You will have to do that if you want to save your game right after getting 100% on the previous level. Don’t worry Lagi will be resurrected when you press continue.
Seriously, I can’t let my self do it
You people are murders…
What?Saving the game takes all the fun (or frustation) from the process!
Nice score but still not winged death.
Im getting big time into high scores and things at the moment, does anyone know of a high score ranking page for the panzer games?
I think it would be a nice addition to any of the existing sites. Just a little table for the scoreable games, with placings determined by final score but also including shoot down percentage for each level, final dragon ranking and the players name with a little link to the screenshot for proof?
He’s joined the dark side!
I dunno of one actually, but it could always be something to put on my dormant webspace! I was gonna put up the Azel Complete Album in MP3/Ogg, but I think I’ll send it to SegaXtreme instead.
