Sonic Mega Collection PLUS for Xbox

Was revealed, however this does not include Sonic CD. They did decide for one reason or another to include The Ooze, Comix Zone, and Ristar. Nov. 2nd. on Xbox.

Not getting that then.

Ditto.

How many variations of Sonic Jam (which is what it essentially is, but with more added to it) are Sega going to release I wonder? Well, good for them if they’re making lots of money from it, but I fail to get excited about a collection of games that are already quite easily obtained and are pretty much abandonware due to their age.

Does Sonic Mega Collection add anything extra besides these new non-Sonic games (such as how Sonic Jam added the extra 3D level and the museum sections) or is it just a collection of Megadrive games?

WHat is this then, Sonic Jam 3. Egads, they could at least have the decency to share SonicCD.
Speaking of which I was able to purchase a MEGACD2 and SonicCD recently, and it is quite refreshing to be able to play “new” (ie new to me) 2D Sonic again. Sonic 3 + Knuckles beats it though.

Furthermore, many web sites and magazines and what have you say theres a reward for completing the Sonic World Time Attack (where you press A+Start when highlighting SONIC WORLD on the main screen). Ive collected all 100 rings within the limit but have been able to see what this supposed surpirse is. Has anyone seen it themselves or is it a load of poppycock?

happily holds her copy of Sonic CD

With that said, I dont know whether I should get this one or not.

A giant ring appears over the waterfall, and you’re supposed to jump through it, but I can’t remember what happens when you do.

jumping into the ring displays the credits yeah?

i got the impression thered be something coller than that.
sigh all these years of wndering and its something thats quite dull indeed

Figures, it seems like Sonic CD is the best Sonic game that noone ever played, and at this rate, will never get to play. I still have my old SegaCD copy, but damnit, I really want to see it in a compilation disc. Oh well, still doesn’t sound like a bad deal (especially for $20, that’s a doller a game), I thought about getting the Gamecube version but the horrible D-pad would make these games almost unplayable.

But yeah, where the hell is the 3d Sonic world? That was a great feature in the Saturn Sonic Jam collection, odd that all other compilation discs don’t include this feature. Oh well, at least it has a museum of some type, though it doesn’t sound nearly as cool as the Sonic Jam one. That Japanese Sonic commercial still makes me chuckle.

Sonic CD is the only Sonic game I haven’t played that I feel the need to. You do all know it’s on PC too, right?

Bleh, platformers on a PC, a travesty I tell you! Besides, EVERY SegaCD/Genesis game is technically on the PC

So the reward for collecting them all in a minute… is the same for completing all the missions? That kinda sucks…

Anyways I loved Sonic Jam, cos it was the 4 classcs, and an extr original “game”.
Now its just getting silly… I also noticed the “Sega Ages” games coming out on PS2… that saddens me :’(

The PC version is the buggiest peice of ass I’ve ever played.
The only reason to own it is because it has seperate video files of the opening/endings/pencil test. It also has the American music which is supposed to be far inferior to the Japanese.

Was there ever a Sonic fighting games for Saturn? I remeber hearing something about it.

There was a Virtua Fighter-style Sonic beat-'em up (made by AM2) in the arcades during the Saturn era; they may have considered releasing it on the Saturn, but I don’t think it happened in the end.

Actually, I think they released Sonic: The Fighters (the Sonic fighting game) on the Saturn in Japan, but I know for sure it never got a release stateside. Not sure about europe. Kinda funny though, a few of the characters for it (or was it just stages?) were in Fighter’s Megamix. There was also another Sonic arcade game released in Japan in 1993, it had an isometric view like Sonic 3d Blast and looked like it had characters from Chaotix in it. Too bad neither of these games were in the compilation discs either, would be cool to play a Sonic fighting game (if for no other reason than the simple bizzareness of it).

Is that only because of the reason that it doesn’t like XP? oter than that I don’t see what could be different about it…

I would really want to play the fighting game, and Sonic CD since i never had the privilege. Sega should just make one uber collection of sonic games that had every single one ever released. Do that or release a Panzer Dragoon Trilogy set with the first three for a current console or PC.

No, I only tried it in Windows 98 and 95.

Sonic Mega collection…that was weak.
You have to play each game so many times to get an older crappier game.
Rinstar is addictive but…tedious.

Yeah I know they keep releasing them types, but if you were younger, so young as to only be introduced to todays current consoles, wouldn’t you find it so amazingly cool to actually be able to play all these classics you’ve heard of but never played? Know I would.

And if they don’t bring out a Panzer Dragoon one I shall kill my self…cos I STILL can’t find the first Panzer Dragoon!!!
