To the original question of the thread, we have already seen that the ancients had other greatly powerful weapons other then the towers. Near the begining of PDS the old Empires capital is flattened by something Craymen activated in ruins beneath it. Could it be that the one tower that was said to burn the continents was able to activate many other devises as Craymen did on a truly massive scale. This would wipe out nearly all the major ancient/human settlements that where anywhere near modern day ruins.

A worthwhile theory, and quite likely in my opinion. Sestren could have activated many of the ancient weapons and the humans, unware of Sestrenâs existance, could have mistaken the Tower for the root of where the activation came from (which would be true to a certain extent, since the Tower worked for Sestren).

You are probably right. I thought the old Empires capital that Craymen destroyed was built over/around some particularly interesting ruins where technology was abundent. That lead me to think that maybe he simply activated something the imperial scholars had found. I canât for the life of me remember where I got the idea that the capital was built on ruins thoughâŚ

Itâs mentioned in the PD Saga introduction by the Emperorâs advisor and the information contained at PanzerDragoon.com
Thanks for the welcomes and Geoffrey thanks for the info
I need to play PDS again, well what I have of it.
(Sorry if this breaks rules and give me a kick if it is but is Geoffreyâs signature said by Illidan Stormrage?)
Yep. I love Warcraft 3. I might play through it again later but Iâm searching for a decent human custom campaign at the moment and other games keep drawing my attention (Shenmue is screaming out to me for a reason I dare not question).
The misunderstood demon hunter is the best hero in WC3, too. Iâd create my own campaign if I had more time.
