Ryu Ga Gotoku, Orta Boys Do It Again :)

Well this is a good sign.
I don’t go by review that much but its good to see SEGA getting a high score in mags

Famitsu 10,10,9,8 (37/40) I’m pretty sure that almost what Famitsu gave ORTA.

Hope SOA/SOE think about bringing this to the west.

Yeah, I was really interested in this myself when it was first announced (as it sounded in many ways like a successor to Shenmue, and it also just sounded interesting in of itself), but with the doubtfulness of it being localised I kind of lost interest. It’s a pity SoA (or whoever might handle this) couldn’t just do a subtitled translation, like Saga or Shenmue 2, as that’d cost less than a full voice-acting overhaul and actually be preferable in my opinion; but I doubt that will happen, either…

Join the Club I much rather that my self. Though I now loads of people that hate that.

Knowing SoA, I’m not holding out any hope of seeing a localisation.

You’d think they’d jump at the chance to bring the first AAA title we’ve seen from Sega of Japan in a long time here.

Welcome to the wonderful world of video games. Maybe SoA just have their hands full with PSU already.

Perhaps the biggest problem is that it’s a Yakuza story. >.>;; You’d have to be pretty familiarised with modern japanese culture I’d guess to get the entire story. Or perhaps not. I’m crossing my fingers anyway.

Can we PLEASE give the new regime of SoA a chance before writing them off?
Having seen the game in action it deserves the hype and thankfully did ok in the sales in Japan. I hope to see Smilebit attempt another similar game or a full blown RPG in the future.

This better come stateside.

^^^ Looks like it might after all.

Huzzah, now for Europe. XD

From what i heard before the registration of the trademark it was Sega Europe responsible for localising this game.

What doe sthis have to do with Smilebit agehn?

Not true.

A lot of former Smilebit guys are working on this title.

I just hope this comes overhere . Don’t care who brings it .

SEGA needs more like this as this and PSU show what SEGA can really do, when they put thier minds to it and have a big budget.
Plus it will shut up those doubters that still think SEGA is shit and can’t make a good game to save thier lives and don’t sell any games at all

Bold statements for one who has yet to play either game

Not really I’m not happy to say it, but have a copy of Ryu Ga so know all about that game.

As for PSU well lets just say the game looks just stunning and can’t belive what Sonic Team are doing on that hump of junk with out a HardDrive . Just hope the 360 gets part

PSU would need to use the HD version of the 360 to really get far with it. Maybe that’s what the delay is about if the game is coming for 360.

Several sites was reporting about this rumour which is where i heard it from.It could be a possibility considering the situation over SHENMUE 2 but if SOA is doing it they better not mess with it because their localisation of SHINING FORCE NEO was crummy in the vocal department.

Whether or not the game is heading for the US or Europe aside, just because it’s heading for Europe doesn’t necessarily mean Europe is doing the localization.

And who says SOA had anything to do with the localization in Shining Force Neo, either?

If you actually linked to the site and found the link leading to the original article it states clearly that SOE is doing the localisation. Not because i happen to think it may be heading to europe first must mean that they are automatically doing it. That’s what i heard/read,whether you believe it is up to you and me but it didn’t get refuted yet either and no it doesn’t mean because of it it makes it more true or false its just out there and being reported.

W00t.

That is all.
