Radgam is too old to be Kyle I think 
Craymen had the right age, Radgam seems much older and it doesn’t fit.
Even if his description matched in age as well we still know so little about him that you can’t be really sure…
I’ve been whatchin the PD1 intro movie and I didn’t want to start another topic because of this so…
I never noticed that one of Kyle’s friends ain’t dead…
Which makes me wonder why did he run after that monster without …

It seems unlikely to me that Kyle is 16. I’d say early to mid 20s. Add 30 years to that and voila: Radgam.
Gehn, one of Kyle’s friends is killed according to the English manual I believe (I must dig it up again tonight).

The only survivors of the ambush Radgam mentions was him and Aldo. But the only survivors here are Kyle and one other. So unless Radgam was Kyle, Radgam is referring to a different ambush.

it would be funny if someone just emailed them and they replied “Kyle is not linked… we just wanted a new character” 
Kyle was more courageous and quick thinking and daring that he chased the monster, while his friend wasn’t…simple.
Also about Radgam being Kyle, I really don’t think he was…if I was a hunter like him the last way i’d wanna die is sitting in a little shop I have set up…I’d propably just die from some monster before I was 60 years old cos I’d never wanna stop doing that…and at around 60 I wouldn’t be so strong/quick anymore therefor some monster would get me…
What are his exact words about the ambush?Cos my english are not perfect but I was under the impression you only call an ambush something from humans, like something pre-planned, not that you just happened to go in someone’s area and he got you like it happened there…but someone that knew you were gonna pass from that spot was waiting for you…ofcourse I’m not sure, so if Radgam says ambush but he also says monsters then I suppose I’m wrong.
But in any case that wouldn’t make it 100% sure that it’s Kyle anyway…
And if an oficial source says Kyle was 16 then I suppose he was 16, but as he was a hunter, with all the hardships, he was perhaps more grown up than us city boys at that age
Orta is supposed to be 13 but she looks older.
And originally Ryo was going to be around 16 as well I think ( he also looked a little younger in the saturn version of shen mue ) but then they had him be umm…whatever he is(18?)…
Also those old FMVs don’t exactly have a ton of detail to be able and tell for sure what age they wanted the characters to be when the difference is so small…sure you can tell this is a kid, this is young, this is medium, this is old, but with 4-5 years difference you can’t be sure.
Monsters can ambush people if they are hidden and waiting to do so.
So if Radgam was Kyle he’d be at least 46 years old, if we are to be believe Kyle is 16. Young enough to make a trip to the excavation camp miles away from Zoah.
46 might be considered “old” in a world where life-expectancy is low.
However Craymen is that age and he seems much more lively and younger than Radgam…Radgam DOES seem old, Craymen doesn’t…
I wouldn’t call Radgam old because other ppl in the town said he is old or anything like that(did anyone do that even?), I would call him old because he really seems to be…
He can still find his way all the way to the excavation site without the aid of a dragon.

Thats right Geoffrey, he could do that, that shows he didn’t have to be a Dragon Rider in order to have gone through things like that in his life…besides doesn’t he say the gun is of a friend of his or something? I would maybe understand why he’s hiding his real name but why not say the gun is his? Noone would recognise him as the Dragon Rider just from his gun (and if they did they would capture him and torture him/kill him anyway for being the Dragon Rider’s friend anyway)…That way it would be more believable to me that it’s Kyle’s friend that stayed back… But I still think he seems too old for that…by too old to be Kyle I don’t mean too old for a trip especially for someone who is fit due to how he’s lived his life…he could have had a good coolia anyway (it got killed by another monster before reaching the site or it couldn’t climb up there so he did it alone or…)
