That’s what I’d like to know. The Divine Visitor is both the player and present in the game world. It’s not one or the other, but both, so how does it – how do you – tie in with the ancients?
The will of the ancients could be some kind of quasi-metaphor for the real world creators of the Panzer world and only you can bring it to an end. Panzer Dragoon Saga was meant to be the final game in the series after all. >:)
Hmm… well as you’ve probably noticed, I’m of the opinion that the Divine Visitor literally is just the name applied to the player by the people of the game world. The Divine Visitor / player is identified as being “the one from the outside world”, which seems to imply that the Divine Visitor is the real you in the real world. Also, the emphatic statement “You are the Divine Visitor” does give me the impression that nothing more complex than this is going on.
I agree that if you’re taking the Divine Visitor to be not literally the player but a role which the player has assumed, then Sestren could feasibly be talking to the real “Divine Visitor” in that scene. Now to my way of thinking that’s quite a big “what if”, but then you’ve probably noticed by now that I’m a pretty sceptical thinker, anyway…
Well, I’d never considered this… interesting interpretation of things before Does that mean that when Abadd Mark II resurrects the Ancients in Panzer Dragoon Orta 2, Team Andromeda are going to pop out of cryogenic preservation to tell everyone it’s all been a horrific misunderstanding?
