I thought Ubisoft dropped out of the deal with Warner Bros because they feared TMO wouldn’t sell, but it was strange that there were no hard feelings between the two companies. So apparently the game always had a publisher…

I guess it doesn’t really matter what happened anyway But a lot of people didn’t understand Sega’s enthusiasm about the game after Ubisoft didn’t want to publish it (at least that’s what most people think). It’s one of the reasons why they were disappointed by Sega’s big announcement. In their eyes, Sega is simply publishing a game that nobody wanted.

Which is something that is completely understandable. However, let me assure you, that is not the case.

That’s not why I’m dissappointed at them.Sega could have been the first of many interested in it and I still don’t like it.

Matrix Online is based on a universe I don’t really like and I never liked when Sega made a game based on an existing franchise…
