Bugs Bunny has gone funny!

I’ve got a miniature essay written in my head, but I won’t bother typing it. Thoughts?

Well, just to play devil’s advoc…

Aw, hell. This is crap :anjou_wow:

Everyone seems to be making a big deal about this (on other forums) but I’m not suprised at all. All of the recent Looney Tunes things have sucked, like Tiny Tunes, Baby Looney Tunes, Duck Dodgers, and Space Jam.

Hahaha… they’re so trendy! :anjou_love:

Suuure, trash the youth of three generations… again!

Nothing is sacred anymore.

If anyone here reads the utterly hilarious webcomic, 8-Bit Theatre, you’ll be aware that its author Brian Clevinger is quite an intelligent person and has a number of well-reasoned opinions on all topics in Greater Geekdom - so, I’d say that his own thoughts on this latest bastardisation of Looney Tunes would make interesting reading for anyone (incidentally, who on earth are those ‘reimaged’ characters supposed to be? I can only recognise Bugs and Daffy… :\ )

This reminds me too much of the current obsession with political correctness - removing Porky Pig’s stutter because it “demeaned obe-- erm, plump people”? :anjou_wow:

Although in all honesty, I did enjoy Space Jam.

Heh, he looks quite evil:

STFU, Tiny Toons owns you.

well, to us this is terrible… but to the growing kids (i.e 3 to 4 years old) they might love it and it could become a big phenominom (sp?)

Daffy!The have ruined Daffy! :anjou_sad:

Why didn’t they simply create new characters?I see no point in this.

Because they are completely and totally devoid of originality. This is, after all, their best efforts.

Doubt it, to 3 or 4 year olds it must be frightening. O_o I mean… look at his grin.

They’re playing the demographics game. . .again. Just tossing out ideas of what they THINK people like and hoping that something will eventually work. Many cliches have been said in cartoons about the big wigs, and now those cliches have slowly become true. “Hmm. What do kids these days like?” “I know! They like edginess and mean-looking characters and ninjas and robots!” “Perfect! That’s our idea for our next show. Let’s make the Looney Tunes mean-looking and turn them into superheroes.” “Brilliant! Deploy our staff of 1000 monkeys. We’re done for today.”

And Tiny Toons rocked.

The post count just goes up and up! :anjou_happy:

Stop spamming the board, Ancient Weapon, or I will desctruct you using my newbish ways.

There hasn’t been a half-decent cartoon out in years. What are the two most popular cartoons as of late? Pok?mon and Dragonball Z, and they’re both anim?. Damn non-American marketing schemes!

Sorry, I didn’t count having a little joke as spamming. :anjou_sigh:

Yeah, Pok?mon is still kinda popular, though I’d say that it is dying. Ever so slowly.
