Been lurking mostly just reading the site on and off for a year now. Through since it’s such a cool site I should jump in and join the boards.
The Panzer dragoon games have been my favourites for many years now. Panzer Dragoon was one of the first games I bought for my Saturn. Since then I’ve gone through Zwei, Orta and reciently manage to get enough cash to track down orta on ebay. (It never got released when I live so I missed out at the time as I didn’t have access to internet shopping them.)
Only now I’ve found I love the sound track to saga and it’s even more rare o_O;;;
Welcome to the forums
So, I didn’t quite get it did you ever play Saga?
Yup I did. Missed it during the orginal release as it was never released in New Zealand to my knowledge but I finally managed to save up the $$$ needed to get a copy off ebay a few months ago. (One of the disks got scratched during shipping though It mostly works but I have to skip the last cut scene on disk 2 or the game crashes so I’ve never seen it…)
If you mean the final FMV that plays after you defeat the Basilus boss, I could probably upload a movie file of that temporarily so you could download and watch it yourself, if you’re still curious about it…
As far as I know, PDS never came out over here, although it may have been released in a few of the main cities around the country. I had to import my copy from the UK, same with Shining Force III.
Interesting, I didn’t know that. While PDS was “released” in the UK it really didn’t get a very widespread release here either, and it certainly never made it to any of the high-street game shops in my town (I had to get my copy on order from elsewhere).

You got to be kidding me!Didn’t Australians get it?
Greetings alavaliant, glad you found Saga eventually!
The few thousand copies made for NA and EU barely qualified as a “release” anyway, so it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise if Australia/New Zealand didn’t officially see it.

Thanks that woud totally rock. I’ve been so annoyed about not being able to watch it but I’ve been too worried about damaging the disk further to try any ‘scratch removing’ solutions on it. hugs pds cds
Yeah I mean the Basilus boss cut scene. I also can’t watch the very end of the cut scene before that where Azel and Edge are escaping in the elevator either. I get to see them get in and then be saved by the dragon when they fall out and then if I don’t skip the saturn resets. So if you could get that one too it would be brilliant but the one after the Basilus is the most important one. The most I’ve ever seen of it is about 3 seconds of the sun setting and the camera panning before the saturn resests.

Thanks it made me do quite a double take seeing a kiwi was running this awesome website. (Particulary like the compatibility of the layour, nice to see one that looks good on anything from Firefox to Opera and works from 800600 to 19201200.) Been a big fan for a bit but never had enough time to really get involved. My 60+ working weeks are still making it hard but I’m about to get more free time in a week.
What part of NZ are you from if you don’t mind me asking I’m from Welly.
No problem… I live in Christchurch, although I’ve lived most of life in Nelson.
60+ hour weeks must be hard!
Glad you like the site. There are a few border colour and position problems in Firefox and Opera, so one of these days I’ll have to do something about those, but for the most part it seems to work okay.
I forgot when I offered to upload these, but the subtitles for the FMVs aren’t part of the movie files on the discs, and as these files are converted directly from those there’s no visible text in them. If you haven’t already checked out the site’s Dialogue section, you should be able to find the script for the FMVs in there.
When Atolm beats his wings in the second FMV you’ll see an odd-looking view-warping effect, but this definitely isn’t a glitch in the recording, as it’s in the FMV itself. (Just struck me while sorting this out that it looks pretty strange; I’m not sure if it’s meant to represent a blast of wind or if it’s just an error of some kind, but it’s there in all versions of the game.)
Let me know when you’ve finished downloading 'em too, so I can free up the space…
Cool, been in Nelson a bit. Never really got down as far as Christchurch though. I tend to head up NZ when I’m on holiday.
Well it can have it’s interesting moments but it’s mostly not too bad. It’s various coworkers doing 100+ hours a week thats rather freaky. Still it’s all over in 4 days we can relax soon.

Must be pretty minor. I’ve not noticed them. The thing I like the most is how you’ve put in a nice graphic layout which isn’t too heavy but keeps with the pd feel. It’s a very nice way of doing things. The content is the best bit though, it’s half the reason I’ve taken so long to get on the boards. Everytime I came here I’d just end up reading and reading until I ran out of time ><;;
Here you go, those FMV sequences:

Thats no big deal, I can pull them out of the dailog section easy enough. The main thing is getting to see them finally ^^
Anyway thanks heaps for uploading them. I’ve been trying to find copies of them for a very long time.
But anyway I’d better get back to work now. 5 minutes goofing off is about all I can afford.
