There’s a realistic view and some dreaming by The Gaming Vault on the future of Panzer Dragoon. If there was a successor among the lines of this article, there would be no reason for the games to receive a review below 90%.
Even if the game was devoid of cut scenes, people might still complain that it was on rails. It would require a rethinking of the fundamental mechanics (while still retaining the world that makes PD so great). I agree with that article, that a twin stick approach would work well.
