I wish i could win without twitter
It’s so they can get more people to follow them on Twitter. More followers = more publicity for upcoming games and therefore potentially more revenue.
Still, a quick signup to Twitter would be worth it if you won - even if you never used Twitter again afterwards. There are websites that are far more time consuming to join.
