Will we see a new PD game?

What do you think? Do you think Sega will ever make a new Panzer Dragoon game or have we seen the last of the Panzer Dragoon world? How likely do you think it is? and what would you want from the story and gameplay?

As for me, I really hope we see a new Panzer Dragoon…

What I would really like is a remake of the whole series, however make each of them an onrail shooter/RPG hybrid where there are onrail shooter levels inbetween deeper RPG storytelling and gameplay. Maybe with the option to just play the shooter bits or just the RPG bits of you wanted.
That would be ideal for me.

There’s some ideas in this topic discussing the best way to revive the franchise.

In all honesty, I don’t think we’ll see another Panzer Dragoon game for a while. However, in the long term, it’s hard to predict how the games industry will work. There may be more room for what are now considered high budget, “arty” games.

Thats for that, Ill check that link out.

I think after seeing the sales for REZ HD on XLA Sega should consider doing Panzer Dragon HD all 3 shooters… could do very well for Sega.

I can’t see it happening. I wouldn’t be too bothered either.

Sega haven’t exactly shown a good track record with recent games and if there’s 1 game I wouldn’t want them to mess up and put it in a bad light, it’s PD.

Hopefully they’ll just ignore PD for now and keep beating on Sonic’s corpse, trying to make him cough up as many gold coins as they can get out of the poor blue fellow :<

Edit: Guess I should say, I would love another good PD game but I don’t see it happening.

I see this kind of comment around quite often and I must say it kind of bothers me, the idea that Sega have a terrible output is in my opinion at least just a misconception.

Far too often it’s all about the blue rat… If the Sonic series is going to crap too many people suddenly think everything Sega does is the same, far from it.

Hell, I think you would be hard pressed to find many that have as good of a track record this year as Sega! Thats only what, 3 months worth of games? That isnt to shabby if you ask me.

Can you think of any Japanese publishers/Developers on par with that? Capcom is the only one coming close.

Have not you heard, Sharky, unless SEGA SATURN Official Magazine is here to give every game SEGA make 99.9% or higher and hype it up with some bullshit about legendary programming skillz, it is not a good game.

Maybe you should read Saturn Magaizne , The like of Victory Goal , Clockwork Knight , Hang On 95 , Sega Tourning Car getting 99% or above is a new one on me :anjou_embarassed:

For what its worth I think we see 1 more Panzer game , and I just hope its another shooter
