Wiilcome to the future

It was really nice knowing you Nintendo.

Sony will probably go broke during the next console cycle, so I’m not worried about Nintendo.

??
What makes you say that?

Because Sony is something like 70 billion dollars in debt. But of course, since Sony bribes all the media outlets, people rarely hear about it.

Want proof? Sony recently started sacking 10 000 people.

Mass manufacturing the PS3 alone will put Sony a further 1-2 billion dollars into the hole, and it’s fighting a format war on two fronts (HD-DVD versus Blu-ray, or Beetamax 2 as I like to call it, and the PS3 versus the 360). Not to mention Ipod has taken over the market Sony grew fat on in the first place.

Sony is doomed. Partly thanks to the fact that it has had to do a lot more and invest more money to maintain its marketshare.

Good riddance I say.

I doubt that will or ever be allowed to happen mate, and I don’t think SONY is in anyway near that much dept. Fair to say though if the PS3 doesn’t take off with sales like that of the PS2 . SONY really is inthe sh8t, M$ can fund a price war SONY haven’t got a chance of winning .

And the way NCL is going they’ll be finised inthe massamarket t console . M$ could have it pretty much all to its self (not that a god think mind), but I’ll put money onthe PS3 selling in one week , what M$ tool a year to do

Actually Sony is in trouble, why do you think they hired a non japanese person as their president? Mainly because he has the ideas to help turn the company around which they desperately need. if all was rosy at Sony than they would n’t have changed the status quo.

Sony and Nintendo are in big trouble. Oh well, this is all a good thing. We all need another videogame market crash, so Sega can make another hardware debut - they’re the only ones who deserve to be on the playing field anyway.

Coming soon to all consoles…

ET 2!

Although if any game was likely to make a crash, it was Superman 64.

w00t! i like that theory :anjou_love:

There’s are loads of major corps that are in trouble not just SONY.
Point is they are far too big and too imporant to go bust . Most major corps have massive debt mountains building up, onthe Promise that things will be better tomorrow. That goes for the likes of SONY and the same for countless car manufactures and Airlines ect. You think FORD will go bust anytime Soon, even though it lossing Billions ??? . Those sort of corps can borrow millions and get the odd bit of goverment aid

For the past 2 years SONY made some of thier best profits in a long time and are stilling selling millions of PS2 consoles . If the PS3 takes off they’ll be ok, if they don’t sell anything like the PS2 with the PS3 . Then Sony is in big trouble , but I can’t see that happend. Japan is as good as SONY for a start

No SEGA messed up thier selfs so they deserve nothing, and I doubt there’s any will inthe SEGA Group to make another console while SONY and M$ are in town .
And NCL will never be in trouble as they never sell anything at a loss and are one of the best run corps there is . They’ll make money off the REV even if its only sells a few million

NCL will see everybody out , but the days of them being a masmaket player are long gone , for the home consoles

Not that it concerns me much. >.>;; My line of consoles consists of C64, Mega-Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast and Gamecube. XD The Wii will fit in nicely probably… if not and it is a global success, all the better. =D
