What’s the point in buying it in Japanese tho?
Now that would depend on whether it’s a graphic novel or not. Saying that I do make a half-hearted effort to collect Panzer Dragoon stuff anyway, and I’d guess that it’s not going to be too expensive.
This is slightly random, but it’s probably worth posting (assuming that no one’s noticed it in the past…) I’ve just been checking the official PDO site to see if they’d uploaded any more new images that hadn’t been linked to (simply by entering obvious addresses in the address bar), which unfortunately they haven’t. I then had a look to see if there were any old pages on the site which aren’t linked to, and surprisingly there are; there’s a half-finished “character” page for Mobo, and also a half-finished “world” page for the Seekers:

… and possibly more stuff. (Is there an easy way to check this sort of thing? In this case I just “guessed” the addresses and entered them manually). Odd that they never got these things finished off; the pages aren’t exactly exciting, but I’m fairly sure I haven’t seen some of those images before…

In fact, I may be doing so myself in the near future for unrelated reasons. The cost of shipping might be a bear though. Generally if I order something direct from Japan I try to combine a lot of items at once so the shipping cost per item isn’t as bad as it would be otherwise.
I want the novel myself but isn’t there a point in waiting for a possible english version?I mean I wanna read the story too;specially since there is bound to be content between game episodes.

at least they didn’t name the page “warmriders” like on the PDO gamedisc… I still think “Randy Breeder” is the best joke they put in there…
oh and gehn there’s a simple way you can read the novel too, go to university and study japanese for 3 or 4 years… might actually be faster then waiting for an neglish release.
I’d honestly doubt that an English translation will be made; this seems to be one of those things that’s “only possible in Japan”, and I can’t see a Western publishing company thinking that it’ll be worth picking up - or worth translating, which of course costs money in itself. I’m almost amazed that it’s being published in Japan; at this stage a Western translation would be something like a miracle on top of a miracle, if you know what I mean.

I self taught myself some japanese (no characters tho) some time ago and I still remember my favourite line “Watashi wa totemo atsui desu ka” 
but apart from that I forgot most of it.
I would love to resume but I would still have to learn kanji and the other characters to be able to read the novel.
PS:Even tho you meant it as a joke I’m crazy enough for PD to do it…who knows…

There could be all sorts of stuff… I tried all of the obvious English page names with no more success, but as some of the files on the site have Japanese names I could easily have missed something. I’d assume that the missing character pages are for Abadd and Iva, and either the dragonmares or the dragon itself; I’d guess that the remaining “world” pages would be for ancient ruins / pure-type monsters and mutated monsters:
