has anyone ever tried making a web ring of all these classic game fan sites, ive been to sites for nearly every old school classic game out (earthbound,turrican,kid icarus, contra,space quest, etc), and it always seemed sad when one dropped off since no one knew it existed(rocket knight, kings quest, first neverhood), i think it would be sweet it would bring alot of other classic gamers together.

Nice idea, although I wonder if something like that already exists? If not, it sounds like a worthwhile project that someone could take on. A “web directory” of these sites is another approach that could be taken, with the sites divided into categories, or tags, with a rating system, comment system, etc to help people decide what sites to visit.
