Waking up SEGA

Well i?ve been think a lot and i came to the conclusion that unless we actually do something for real we may never see another PD.

So i?ve been thinking that we may collect as much material as we can from fans and entities related to gaming and send them to SEGA to show how much we want a new PD game.

We could send, for exemple, the Genos trailer video and that video from gametrailers showing PD as the 2nd game who most needs a sequel.

We could also send fan art.

I don?t know, i?m just desperate, the fact is that there nothing, not even a rumour, just silence, we really have to do something.

I doubt that PD could be turned into a profit for them. You never know I guess, but with the way the economy still is and with the nature of business as it always is, good luck.

I say be happy with what we got, and move on. Find something else to enjoy, especially something that’s still ALIVE and kicking.

I can’t wait for the second Silent Hill movie for example. >:)

People were just as desperate pre-Orta as well. Don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll revive the series again, at some point. If it’s in a way we’ll like though, well, that’s another matter.

But either way, i think this is something we could do, i mean, is not that hard to collect some fan stuff and send them to SEGA right?

Geoffrey, right now i?m waiting for COD: Black Ops :stuck_out_tongue:

Whilst it’s unlikely that you could convince them to make a whole new Panzer game, there’s been examples that show SEGA and its affiliates take some notice of what the fans think.

Whilst NiGHTS was not included as a playable character, the fun uproar saw him being added as the race starter/chequered flag guy.

I guess it’s worth cross-posting here that the NiGHTS fans are currently trying to get the game onto XBLA and PSN. I feel like once one Saturn game is released for a modern system, the gates will be opened for Panzer Dragoon.

Oh, and the webmaster of nightsintodreams.com is now an employee for Sumo Digital - the company that made Sega All-Stars Racing. If that isn’t a fan getting noticed, I don’t know what is!

What the point ?

SEGA that I loved and supported is all but DEAD . Now its either the staff are incapable of making the games , or maybe more so SAMMY is stopping the creative side of SEGA.Either way, They’ll be no more games like Panzer, only SONIC for every system under the sun, and MonkeyBall for Natal and endless sequels to Yakuza. That’s the new SEGA

SEGA Japan can’t even make Cutting edge Tech anymore, They’re almost beyond hopeless

As the old saying goes (roughly), “It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all”.

And from a direly jaded, cynical point of view, I’d happily settle for Panzer being left alone, relatively undamaged by the horrors of being overdone. There’s no guaranteeing a new installment in the series would have the same essence of its predecessors; it could well end up being a mediocre, unimaginative game with a vaguely Panzerish sheen put on it - and that would be much more of a tragedy than the series fading into obscurity as it seems to have done.

As Nemoide suggested, it’d be great if the Saturn titles were made available on newer consoles; that would be heavenly beyond belief! Here’s to hoping it happens (sooner rather than later).

I think it would be interesting to have a website like that for Panzer Dragoon, only a little more elaborate in the sense that you let people enter their e-mail address and a small comment as to why they’d like to see the series return (essentially an online petition).

That’s a good idea D-Unit. If someone makes one, I can host it.

I really which i knew how to make websites :frowning:

Just make a facebook page? Easy enough, and has all the features you could ask for. Plus, most people use their real names etc on there, showing it’s all unique users, not people signing with a different name etc (though it’s certainly possible I guess).

HTML Dog is a good site to start learning on:
htmldog.com/guides/

There’s a similar Facebook group here:

24 members… sad.

I’m staring to think the same about SEGA right now . Maybe its time SAMMY changed SEGA’s name , or sold off the consumer Teams , Before SEGA name is dragged down any more, and people forget about the Good times and just remember the lame output and drivel SOJ been putting out of late the past few years (bar the Arcade teams) .

Well, i think the opposite, i think its time to kick their asses and make them realise that they seriously need to lay off some guys and get fresh blood to the team.

About their latest games, i think that the only brand who still delivers the quality SEGA once was known for is Virtua Tennis.

Sonic Unleashed was very cool on the day stages but the night stages ruined it.

I think that Sonic 4 may bring the brand back to live but we?ll have to see that.
