I thought Radiant Silvergun was a tad bit easy…but that’s just me. The amount of boss fights in the game was a nice touch though.

Well, for me it’s all or nothing with the pattern thing. If a game is going to be based on patterns, like virtually every scrolling shooter is, then those patterns should be worth remembering. If I’m going to be relying on just twitch skills then I’d much rather be playing something that’s truly dynamic. That said, there’s actually a lot more meaningful variation to how an R-Type stage can be played than in the vast majority of those other supposed twitch type shooters.
This thread has taught me a lot about the people of this forum…
Well RSG is a top shooter alright and a great showcase game for the Saturn (which is why so many want it) , but I still say SOUKYUGURENTAI
is the best shooter onthe Saturn and the best shooter I’ve ever played.
shooters are nice and all, but first things first:
getting shining force 3 scenarios 2 and 3 translated into english!
SOUKYUGURENTAI, yeah that’s a bad ass game. A little too hard-core for it’s style for me though. As in it’s not quite compelling enough to have made me tough it out to the end…
I think it’s in a tie with R-Type Delta as the best pure eye-candy for a traditional scrolling shooter in that generation.
