Has anyone else seen this movie?
I saw it last night and found it to be quite an enjoyable experience. It’s essentially an adult fairy tale, but with lots of humor added in.
The plot consists of a number of fantasy cliches, yet it manages to spin the story in refreshing way so that you’re kept entertained the whole way through. I recommend it.
Lots of humor and lots of flashy effects.
The movie was entertaining, but a little shallow. I?m not sure who to recommend Stardust to - grown-ups who still like fearytales, maybe.
After reading so much about the writer genius Gaiman I expected a little more.
I am a huge fan of Neil Gaiman, and I refused to see the movie because it deviates from the novel so much. I tend to be a purist when it comes to book/game movie conversions. I’ve yet to see one that didn’t completely disappoint. However, if you’re feeling bookish, pick up the novel. It’s a quick and entertaining read.
