Sonic CD gets its due

Sega finally rectifies the criminal neglecting of what is seen by many fans as the pinnacle of the franchise. After being noticably absent from not one but two of Sega’s past “collection” games, Sonic CD gets placed on Sonic Gems, which is out now. If you haven’t played this masterpiece, you’re in for a treat. In addition to Sonic CD, Sonic Gems also has the Sonic Game Gear games, Sonic The Fighters(which never got release for a home console), and unlockable games of both Vectormans. Rejoice! I’m definitely picking this up, just for nostalgia’s sake.

Oooh, the addition of vectorman 1 & 2 (and sonic CD of course) really make it a top collection imo :anjou_love:

Avoid the US version - the Jp version contains the entire Streets of Rage series as extras too! UK version has apparently been confirmed as containing the Jp extras, rather than the US ones.

Cool. I might just buy that then.

Does it have Vectorman AND Streets of Rage or does it remove Vectorman in order to add that?

(looks up for a moment, then goes back to playing Streets of Rage 2 on his PSP)

But you don’t get classic Sonic goodness on that. XD

He probably does with emulators

Point. XD But I think Sonic: The Fighters will be a first. At last, been curious about that game since it was first released in the arcades.

As far as I’m aware the Streets of Rage games are in addition to Vectorman - I had a look on Sonic Team Jp website a while back and I’m sure it had Vectorman up there as well.

Sonic: The FIghters is the main reason I want it.

I don’t care about Streets of Rage since I own it for Genesis, as well as both Vectorman games. You should all be ashamed of not having them!

Sonic the Fighters is the draw card for me (already owning Sonic CD).
I wouldve liked to have seen Chaotix and maybe even Sonic Arcade included as well.
