Shelcoof in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

We finally get to hear the entirety of the Dragon Canyon music.

Lol. That’s just cheap. It’s ironic how music that’s nearly two decades old beats this and a lot of modern music in fact.

They should have just used the original versions.[/quote]

The game seems to be getting great reviews, can?t wait to play it

So many cult favourites sega games packed into one package, topped off with a richard jacques soundtrack

I’m gonna have to buy this i have no excuse!!!

I got the game two days ago, here’s my own playthrough of Dragon Canyon:

The game is really fun to play, so far it seems like a must-have to Sega fans to me.

Good question. Someone somewhere must have wanted it to sound updated.

I just tested the demo on PS3, i?m still in awe!

Watching Shelcoof fire this massive laser and cause a wave, flying around with the blue dragon, tight controls, fun gameplay…man, with the exception of the soundtrack i loved everything!

I honestly believe this game and this franchise (the first one was great as well) deserve to join the ranks and status of “classic” SEGA game, even though not directly developed by them.

OutRun, Sega Rally and now Sonic All Stars Racing.

Also, you might disagree with me, but owning a Wii and Mario Kart, i think this game is the new king of Kart racers hands down.

Sumo are hoping to add some DLC characters based on user votes. You can find out more and how to vote in this topic:

No Panzer Dragoon characters however. :frowning:

Dudes, vote for Segata Sanshiro, it would be awsome !

Having played the game quite a bit now, I agree. I don’t see any competition right now. It’s more of an actual racing game in comparison to Mario Kart, and that makes it a better game as far as I’m concerned. I was expecting to see more 90% reviews, but it seems it’ll have to do with around an 80% average. Not too bad, but I really hope this game sells, especially since it was released at a lower price already.

Signed. Segata Sanshiro is a true hero and needs more recognition. We all know a missile wouldn’t be enough to finish him and now he’ll make a triumphant return to judo flip his way into first place.

Sp, going by the positive talk here, I’m grabbing this for christmas. Any basic gameplay tips?

Prepare to do *a lot *of drifting :anjou_happy: Like any good game it’s easy to learn but difficult to master. The game offers a real challenge, especially on Hard and Expert difficulty (and apparently you need to complete tracks on Hard and maybe even Expert difficulty to unlock all the characters).

The game is great, easily one of the best “Sega” games I’ve played in the past ten years. I still can’t believe there’s actually a Burning Rangers track in the game.

I’m not sure if I want to support Sega anymore unfortunately.

This one deserves support, its really high quality

The Dragon Canyon (Panzer Dragoon) and Rogue Landing (Skies of Arcadia) levels are so awesome! They give me nostalgia overload. I didn’t expect there to be a Burning Rangers level either. Very cool!

I’ve sort of hit a brick wall as far as progressing forward in career mode. I’ve beat almost everything on B class. A class is so brutal and can be so damn challenging! Playing as Nights, Vyse and Metal Sonic as my 3 main racers.

I think it’s still worth supporting them if they produce something good.

I am pretty sure my wife picked this up for me for Xmas. How difficult is it to unlock all the hidden characters? Does the game have that annoying rubber band effect like the MK games? Thanks in advance for answering my questions. Looking forward to trying this out!

It’s incredibly frustrating to unlock all the characters. I stopped at 130 stars. It’s just not worth it. You could spend hours on just one mission. And most likely these missions by then, are giving you 1 or two stars depending on what difficulty you are playing them on.

I just casually play online now. I don’t have the patience to waste on that. It’s not my idea of fun SEGA…

The game is certainly difficult, probably too difficult for the audience it was aiming for. Sumo have acknowledged this though and are apparently looking for ways to make it easier for people to unlock them.
