Well I’ve got my nice SEGA RALLY 200 + Seag Rally Championship back And while isn’t not quite 100% Arcade prefect port of SEGA RALLY 1995 its more than good enough and my god does it play like a dream on the Logitech. This is all based on the Arcade code and shares nothing at all with the Saturn or PC code.
There’s seemd to be less polygons onthe main cars but everything else is more or less there… Things rear view mirror, 60 fps Arcade Number plates in place , even right down to the arcades totally inferior music.
Playing this, is not only a bloody dream come true , but also makes one appreciate the wonders what the likes of Ryuichi Hattori and the rest of CS Team managed on the Saturn version (they did Miracles ), Every thing form the Arcade version is more or less in the Saturn version even down to silly things like the Zebras being in the correct and right places. Bloody amazing what they did given the gulf between Saturn and the High end Model 2b board
SEGA RALLY 2006 is really nice as well, Looks like a 1st gen PS2 game but plays really well when you get into it.
Great to see the classic SEGA RALLY and SR II tracks make an appearance. Handles great pure and simple arcade fun with a hint of depth runs smooth as butter (60 Fps) . I know most will hate it just like Initail D, but put the time in and and there’s a great racer behinde the sub bar graphics . I just hope SEGA RALLY III will have real time graphics like those seen inthe 2006 intro. Then I’ll be more than a happy
