Indeed, this could end up being a fruitful partnership. I’m wondering if Obsidian struggled to find a publisher in this new era of sequel-dom where brand awareness rules all.
I know Lucas Arts fired its own KOTOR 3 team after they proved to be incapable of continuing the series. That just goes to show that it doesn’t always pay to be greedy. I suppose if Obsidian pick up where they left off they will ask for a longer deadline this time so they have more room to maneuver (something that seemed to be off-limits to LA).
I just hope they can come up with a fresh gameplay concept…
While that would be nice. I wouldn’t mind more D&D inspired antics if there is a fresh/great story tied to it.
