Rumoured SEGA SAMMY JAMMA 2005 games list

-House of the Dead 4 (LindBergh)
-Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 (CHIHIRO)
-Sega Network Golf Pro Tour Vers. 2005 (CHIHIRO)
-Fist of the North Star (AtomisWave)
-AfterBurner (LindBergh)
-Virtua Fighter 5 (LindBergh)
-OutRun Coast-2-Coast (LindBergh)
-Sega Rally 3 (LindBergh)

Hope this is true, and the likes of SR III, VF 5 (well thats a given), AB, OutRun , HOTD IV. Make the beautiful tourney home.

VF, and SR are just made for LIVE play. SEGA would clean up

Rumoured by? Where? When? Why is VF5 a given, was it announced already? I hadn’t heard anything about it and VF4: Final Tuned is kind of recent still, no?

The only one I would consider a given is HOTD IV since info of that plus screens and stuf was revealed.

But I do recall that VF 5 was mentioned in an article sometime back, that someone actually posted around here.

Its just the rumoured SEGA list for the up coming JAMMA Arcade show soon.

And I meant VF 5 is a given that?s its going to get a Home port (AM#2 have already said the Arcade version is in development).
The other’s all still up in the air as to if they’ll get home ports .

Got the news for another forum and places likes Arcade Station.
Were its also rumoured that Street Fighter IV is in development of the Atomiswave board

Since when is Capcom using the atomiswave, I thought they had their own system (CPS3 was the last one I remember, dunno if they made newer one, but I dunno if they’d even need a new one, how much better can 2D get than the likes of SFIII?).

Also, I mean, where did the rumours come from? Rumour isn’t just something you and me will think may be revealed, a rumour has to have more basis than a discussion between some forum members. That’s speculation, not a rumour.

Sega Rally 3 looks like being an absolute disgrace.

My GOD mate when have you been ???. C
apcom dumped the CP III before the DC even came out. As it was unreliable , and most operators stayed with the CP II system. Capcom Arcade board of choice since then as been NA@MI .

In fact sCapcom have all but close it Arcade business .
So it could be bulsh8t, but it be nice to see a new 2D Fighter from Capcom. Hopefully this time with redrawn sprites and High Res backgrounds and characters

The PS2 game is not SEGA RALLY III. It’s more of a spin of the series to mark it anniversary (which why its called SEga Rally 2005) . Which looks to all the world to be canned.

The new SEGA board should give Rosso all the power they could need (unlike the pile of junk that is the PS2)

Oh right. Well, Sega Rally 2005 looks to be a disgrace then. SR3 needs to own.

Now, let’s call a spade a spade. Colin McRae was on PS2 and was in fantastic form.

So is Namco using the Atomiswave now? I knew they aqquired the license for the Fist of the northstar series for the arcades but i didn’t think they would be going back on DC related technology.

Yeah 2003/4 were awesome rally games (2005 was cr8p) but that’s Codemasters they and the likes of Capcom can handle the piece of junk, SEGA can’t (apart from AM#2).

Most of thier PS2 games look cr8p, and the Initial D port (while still good) wasn’t a patch on the awesome NA@MI II version. Shiobi, Blood Will Tell, Altered Beast ect look like PS games in parts.

Unlike most of (but not all) SEGA’s XBox or Cube games which have brilliant graphics. 3 years on Orta and JSRF are still some of the best looking X-Box there is

Which begs the question why some of their last big games are still headed towards the PS2.

Sales at the end of the day. A lot of SEGA games have sold over 200,000 copies on the PS2 in Japan alone (even if they are poor like Nightshade).

SEGA X-Box games can’t even get close to that on WW sales, even if they were stellar titles

The first screen I’ve seen of Fist of the North Star:

go about half way down and you’ll see it. Looks cool, we’ll see how it plays.
