Rebel drones

Firstly, I don’t see why it couldn’t be an outift covering the surface of her skin, perfectly fitted around her hands and feet like gloves. Secondly, I can’t see how drones could pretend to be human with jet black and boney white metallic skin.

Clothes. Or perhaps some were more fleshy coloured.

What about the Sky Rider? Was his bulky armour in actual fact skin?

Notice I said it merges? Rather than say the armor goes around her feet? It doesn’t go around her foot on one leg, it stops a bit higher above and changes to “skin color”, it’s not very visible at a glance since the change is smooth and slight but if you just look at her a bit more you can easily spot it…

Especially noticable here (on her right leg -duh- a bit below her knee) :

Either way what use would a suit that is SKIN THIN be? Protection? If they had the technology for that why are the other beasts so bulky and fully armored instead of having skin tight armor like her then…
Even if it WAS that good what use would the coat she wears at one point be then? She felt like changing her fashion?

And for your second point, yes clothes is the way…notice what kind of clothes the seekers or even other ppl wear, they could easily cover their secret…especially seeing the harsh environment of PD that requires clothes like we see Azel wear in the ending of PD Saga…

By the way since when is it a FACT that the sky rider is a drone?

No, she was in love with Craymen. She doesn’t wear the coat at any point after his death, so I assume she never really needed it at all.

Good question. However the green energy doesn’t leave much room for other possibilities, except for a mutant human theory.

I’m not sure. It does look more like a real armour in his case. Of course, it could have evolved that way to adapt to the harsh environment.

She wasn’t in love with Craymen : she respected him for releasing her.I always saw it more like a father/daughter relationship.

Anyways, the pic that Al3x has shown made me doubt…

It might just be an outfit like Geoff sugests…

looks at Azel’s neck

She was in the Japanese version. She never fell in love with Edge either. Good thing the translation changed all that.

w00t!

Do you guys feel good living in a lie?All this time I’ve been a fan of a story that didn’t even exist :frowning:

What else do you know about the Jap version?

The translation was used as the foundation for Panzer Dragoon Orta, so the lie we’ve been living has become the truth.

Why do you think Orta was created?

Looking at the screenshot Alex posted, I’m not so sure about that being her “skin” or outer layer either. The black that shows through from underneath could have been an under layer of armour, or “clothing”. The skin colour above her chest area suggests that the skin went all the way down… why wouldn’t it? Why would they make only the head to look human?

I’m actually a bit skeptical about the Azel/Craymen love plot. I can certainly believe that Azel loved Craymen… she was pretty upset over his death for starters. But romantically? The word “love” can be used in so many ways. Perhaps she just cared a lot for him - after all, he did release her from her Ancient duty (according the Craymen of the English version anyway).

However, although there differences in two versions of the game, one can not disregard either version, especially the English version as the story was used in the sequel. Thank you, Smilebit

Yeah, the FMV’s coudn’t have ben changed and they shown us a bit of romatical tension between Edge and Azel

I think it was fine how it was. We wouldn’t want Panzer Dragoon Saga to become too focused on the love story, forgetting the main focus of the story (the struggle against the Ancient technology). Azel had only just started to understand her feelings (in the English version) near the end of the game… it was a romance that came too late.
