Right, in all of the Panzer Dragoon games there has been a hint at the end to suggest there’s gonna be a sequal. In the first one, the camera shows footprints on the floor, and the then the camera looks up to the sky. Then in Zwei, Lundi discovers the dragon in the shell coof, followed by a shot of the glowing spirit, I think, or somthing like that,
In orta a similar ending occurs, there is a shot of, the baby dragon, TRYING TO FLY coughcough, and her looking up to the sky!
You all certainly know all this anyway, but i’d just like to see what everyone thinks. I want to believe there’s gonna be another sequel because of these endings, but I keep doubting it, because Panzer Dragoon is pretty dead anyway, but hey, let’s just keep our hopes up!
So to summerize, what do you reckon about the endings and the likeliness of there being a sequel…
If they don’t make a true sequel to PDS soon I think I’ll go crazy! I’d love to learn more about the Ancient Age, as well as the Seekers, Hunters, and the new Empire. And think about how epic and great the game will be in next generation graphics! The only thing we can do is wait, wait, and wait… still waiting… hellow SEGA, Amusment Vision or whatever is left of Smilebit will you please make another Panzer Dragoon RPG… still waiting!
So long as Sega doesn’t “do a Shenmue” and piss loads of money down the toilet making it I’d love a sequel. Chances of it actually happening though? Not a clue.
Well the trick when making a game is making ambiguous finales. They really can go both ways…but I really do believe there is going to be a sequel. When is another matter…
Ever since my life went back to normal AFTER completing panzer saga with all creatures perfect, I’m still hoping for a rpg sequal.
I was thrilled when I heared another panzer came out (orta) but was a bit disappointed (secretly) it wasn’t a rpg.
So yes SEGA, PLZ (x100000000) make another saga!!!
I love the idea of another Panzer Dragoon RPG. It could be interesting to have Orta in a role like Azel instead of the main character. To find out what is up with her, why the seekers locked her up, an in depth visitation to the different human communities, and a general exploration of what the future holds.
Like Saga, with full recorded speech for all dialog.
But this is just a dream. I seriously doubt there will be another Panzer Dragoon game in less than ten years from now.
One of the the guys from team Andromeda did an interview with 1up.com, didn’t he? I remember him saying he wanted to make one last Panzer rail shooter.
Well, I’d say it’s a series that’s best left untouched now, as far as continuation of the story go.
I’d like to see the current story perhaps expanded upon, but certainly not continued.
We saw what happened when they tried to follow up Saga… Orta’s story, while quite enjoyable, had severe gaping plot holes that really take about 2342309483490248234 trillion theories to correct.
