Problems watching Saturn FMV (.CPK) files - can anyone help?

OK, whilst using the “CPK Player” program from this site to watch the FMV sequences from the Saturn Panzer discs on my PC, I keep experiencing a problem: the sequence always cuts out and stops when it gets exactly half-way through.

Is this a normal shortcoming, or if not, does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

This seems to be a problem for everyone. The only way you can view the full movies is to convert them into .AVI format.

Yeah, try using the CPK2AVI Converter (in the Programs section of this site). There’s a guide for what DOS commands you need to use as well.

Yep that ahppned to me also…
Can’t remember what I did to sort it out but they work know…
Or they use to until I deleted them from my drive…

For some computers, having iccvid.dll in the same directory as the videos you are trying to play (or with the software… can’t remember which) helps a lot. It is a missing .dll in many Windows installations that is needed to properly play Cinepak encoded videos.

I included the .dll in the zip files here. See if that helps at all.

Many thanks, Parn: that version works great.
