Prices of GBA games

Just wondering… I’m not planning on getting a GBA in the near future, but I’d be interested in hearing how much GBA games cost in different countries. Here, they cost about $NZ100 each which translates to $US62 - far to expensive for a handheld game IMO.

They’re around $30 each in the US.

I’m thinking of buying a GBA SP, it has some pretty cool games.

the prices vary, but most are sold for ?49.99

They are around 60? around here which is roughly 60$US.Far too expensive, yes that’s what i think too.

That’s why i never owned a handheld…

Wow I feel really bad for all of you paying ridiculous prices for GBA games. In the US a standard price for a GBA game is typically from $29.99 for most titles to $34.99 for some of the bigger name titles. Although my copy of Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis (fantastic game btw) cost $44 dollars new. I think that is the highest priced GBA title i have ever seen. And there are budget releases as well. Many titles can be found for around $20 and i paid $15 for a brand new copy of Iridion 2, which is a decent shooter.

A GBA SP is definitely worth it and in many ways i think its the best console on the market, especially if you’re starving for 2D action/adventure games.

geez, think about how much that would be directly converted into quid. I could go on a spending spree!

A video game hasn’t sold for that much on any console since DKC2 for the SNES! The most you’re likely to pay for a GBA game on UK ground is ?29.99.

The prices must vary between the GAME in Croydon and everywhere else then :’(

Those are cheap prices, Aitrus. Maybe I’ll take advantage of the low exchange rate and pick up Shining Force Resurrection of the Dark Dragon after all (when it comes out in America), as well as some of the other promising looking GBA titles.

I guess my next question is… how long does the built in battery in the GBA SP last? And can you get it replaced if it runs out?

I know where you can get them for $8-15 :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, and they weren’t even damaged when they fell off the back of that truck.

Its a very good battery. I’ve had mine over a year now and the battery is still going strong. The charge it holds is very good as well. Incase you do need to get the battery replaced you can order a new one frrom Nintendo.com.

The GBA is great, you wont be dissapointed.
