Let me know if this description sounds accurate or if I should make any major or minor changes. From my understanding of the games, this is what my interpretation of the secret scene in Orta meant.
In Panzer Dragoon Orta there is a secret scene where you see the Heresy Program (the giant golden thing with four wings that you saw at the end of Panzer Dragoon Saga) talking to the dragon. The Heresy Program is not actually talking directly to you, but rather you are listening to a recording from the past. It tells the dragon if he chooses to go back to the human world without its power, he will indeed be mortal. The dragon chooses to leave the Sestren network and the Heresy Program tells the dragon to watch over our friends.
This scene was meant to be an extended ending to Panzer Dragoon Saga and an explanation of how the dragon was able to return, after the events of PDS.
Here is the movie clip I uploaded to the site:
(you can also download it if you like)

I think making note that said heresy program and the dragon were once parts of the single entity we perceive as the dragon we ride during PD, PDZ and PDS is in order, maybe also making it clear that we can only really theorise over its meaning rather than be 100% certain of what it means, even if most people are mostly certain of an explanation similar to yours. Other than that, is it really a secret scene? I thought you view it regardless of how you go through the game.
You actually have to take a certain path(there are a few different routes you can take, so most people probably missed it) throughout Episode 7: Forbidden Memories. So I kind of categorized it as a secret scene or at least: a homage to PDS.
Here is my revised description. Is this more acurate. Any more suggestions or is this fine?
"In Panzer Dragoon Orta there is a secret scene (or at least a homage to PDS) where you see the Heresy Program (the giant golden being with four wings that you saw at the end of Panzer Dragoon Saga) talking to the dragon. The Heresy Program is not actually talking directly to you, but rather you are listening to a recording from the past. It tells the dragon if he chooses to go back to the human world without its power, he will indeed be mortal and would eventually die (They were originally one complete life-form). The dragon chooses to leave the Sestren network and the Heresy Program tells the dragon to watch over our friends.
My theory and personal opinion is: This scene was meant to be an extended ending to Panzer Dragoon Saga and an explanation as to how the dragon was able to return, after the events of PDS.
“Welcome home, master” - this implies that the Heresey Dragon made Lagi into a moderator.
However Orta is still a noobie, so she gets pwnt by the admins.
Perhaps review/clarify the following:
The term Heresy Program is a titled given to the gold dragon by fans. It’s not an official name for any part of the dragon. Would pay to mention this to avoid any confusion.
The Heresy Program was black at the end of Panzer Dragoon Saga and is gold in Orta. Perhaps add your thoughts as to why it changed colour. I believe that this was because that was because the Heresy Program took over Sestren’s role but this isn’t confirmed anywhere AFAIR.
Also, what plugin is needed to view the video? I’m not seeing it in Firefox…
It merely loads windows media player, works ok on my firefox, are you on a different OS maybe?
Vista.
The download works fine, it’s just the embedded video/plugin that doesn’t load.
I’m fairly sure you only get that special ‘memory’ when you take all A routes, which just means you have to kill the boss program things under a certain time. So I’m not sure I’d call it a “secret” exactly, it’s a clear enough goal already.
An “extended ending” to Saga is one way of looking at it I suppose, but it’s simply giving us fans a finer explanation of who and what the dragon in Orta now is, since we had been led to believe we had to destroy the Dragon at the end of Azel. Without that scene we would have nothing whatsoever to prove that Orta’s dragon is in any way connected to Lagi.

I’m using Internet Explorer with XP Home and the latest Windows Media Player ( 11 I think). It loads the same for me as it does for Alex. So I’m not sure. Thanks for your suggestions Solo! You pointed a few things out I wasn’t thinking of. Thanks, I’ll try to revise it again when I get a chance.
Okay I think this is substantially more accurate now. Let me know if this sounds okay Solo.

My theory and personal opinion is: This scene was meant to be an extended ending to Panzer Dragoon Saga and an explanation as to how the dragon was able to return, after the events of PDS. Another peculiar circumstance to take note of is: The Heresy Program turned black at the end of PDS and is now shinning gold in Orta. Could it be that it took over the duties of the Sestren Network?"
Okay cool. Just can’t get it to refresh on PDSO though.
Maybe I just need to erase some Internet junk files?
Are you able to see the revised version on the site?
Hmm, I can’t see the revised version either.
Perhaps try downloading the extendedending.html file via FTP and checking to see if it’s been updated?
Actually I think I might have to just change the html name I’ll just change it to extendedending2.html, then update all the links. I think, that should do it. But I’ve already uploaded the file through FTP 3 times over.
Okay, the site is updated now.
