You do know what “setting the standard” means don’t you?
PDS soundtrack is not COMPLETELY perfect. There has to be some flaws in it. It may look perfect to you, but as for others, they might find at least one flaw in it. I’m not saying this in jealously, even some of Utada Hikaru(My favorite singer) songs has flaws.
Flaws are subjective, as is perfection. That is the ultimate trick of art, to get someone to fall in love with your creation, the state of ‘perfect’ appreciation.
Kadamose appears to live a world where a very few things are perfect, and everything else is shit. Whatever works.
I happen to love the soundtracks to Zwei, Saga, and Orta, but feel indifferent about the original. Other people think differently. I like to call this strange phenomenon “opinions”.

What in the hell? To be honest, the first game’s music bored the hell out of me, but I enjoyed most of Zwei’s songs from start to finish, especially episode four and Guardian Dragon. Orta was a change in direction due to new people working on the game, but I felt it had good music as well.
Nights Into Dreams == best music in a Sega game evar.

Oh thats one of the greatest tunes ever , and I do mean ever :). Along with EP 5/1 Music (that tune is ace ) EP4 Boss music is great in Zwei along with the end credits . I liked the tunes , just thought they weren’t a patch onthe 1st game .
I still say SAGA got the best music score I’ve heard , with Sonic Adv , RSG, Souky, Lunar . I’m also a big fan of the music in Swtich (love the music on the lawnmower stage , Batman Returns (Mega CD ) rules . To be fair nodboy makes a better music score than SEGA and I mean nobody (imo of course )

The Expected/Unexpected Enemy is the Guardian Dragon’s music. And it’s flippin’ brilliant.
I bought an Invision Cybersound software pack for PC ages ago but never really got to do much with it. It’s certainly the same or a very similar thing, with the same logos, etc., but I never found a way to “feed” it the MIDI files from those games! =P Don’t matter; I have the OSTs anyway.
