Panzer Dragon Prequel

That’s the impression I get as well. The Heresy Program was gradually transforming the dragon into the ultimate Solo Wing form, and it seemed to go step-by-step through the genetic templates of Ancient Age dragon designs, each one more powerful than the last. There’s also the evidence of the Solo Wing’s Spiritual Class form in Saga looking just like the Dark Dragon, which shows us how that form at least was just a copy of an actual Ancient Age dragon.

In truth, I guess we know very little about the Heresy Program - we can’t be 100% sure that it was even an intended program, and not just a corruption arising in Sesten’s normal program code (though this is pretty unlikely). The idea of the Sky Rider being a Drone intended for the Heresy Dragon makes sense in terms of what we do know, however.

To be honest, I’d be happy to play any new Panzer game that got released, sequel, prequel or whatever. I still don’t think that the next PD game would / should follow the Sky Rider’s story, though, both because of all the points that have been made above and because of the “epic” problem.

There really isn’t much scope for epic, dramatic adventure in the Sky Rider’s story; compared to the world-threatening / world-saving events of Saga and Orta, the Sky Rider’s chapter would seem relatively unimportant, especially seeing as we know how it ends already. It would also have to end in that small battle with the Dark Dragon, in which the Sky Rider gets fatally shot. Despite the Dark Dragon being very cool, this wouldn’t be much of a final boss battle

Interesting as the Sky Rider is, his story might have to be confined to the realm of sub-scenarios and side-plots, like I suggested before; if we are ever enlightened about his mystery at all, that is.

Prequels SUCK, almost to the basis where it would be a certainity that a PD sequel would suck.

Best example: Star Trek Enterprise.

I would just be content with a little side story on the Sky Rider. Just a little bit more of information on his part, and to see how he became a part (Even if it is small) of this.

I think the most interesting thing they could do with the sky rider is show his background in the ancient age. This could allow us to see his purpose and more of the ancient society. Not that i think they will do it but i would like to see it, they could even make a whole game out of it and id buy it.

I wanted a prequel.A prequel to Saga maybe.
