What don’t you like about it? I thought it looked quite impressive and at the same time true to the original in the trailer.
Also - has it been confirmed that this game will be free roaming?
Check out this footage of one of the levels in action. It’s a much better example of how the game will play than that trailer.

I’m really impressed - can’t wait to try it out.
My only real complaint is that things seem too spread apart, making things feel empty. In the original game, you were always able to maintain a link chain to multiply your score, but in its current state, things are so spread out that an important gameplay element is going to be missing. Hopefully this is just a holdover.

When I said cheesy I was referring to the trailer and not the actual game footage.I don’t like the way it is being marketed.That narrator guy always annoyed me so maybe it’s subconscious
As for the gameplay I hadn’t seen the gameplay video you posted yet at that time.Looks nice but (and that’s what I didn’t like in the trailer either) the camera seems too far and a bit awkward.
[From someone who never touched a Wii :] I dunno if the Wii mote is the “weapon of choice” for a Wii sequel.As there been any sort of details of how you actually control Nights?
I’m a bit worried that they’re going to rush the game if it’s intended for a release later this year. It looks like the game is going to be more of a remake than a sequel, which is probably a good thing (at least for the fans). The graphics however seem to be … disappointing to say the least, especially when viewed on screenshots:

I’m really seeing nothing that the old Dreamcast wouldn’t have been capable of doing. Even PD Orta on XBox looks a whole lot better in comparison, and while the game does look a bit better in the gameplay video there are noticeable problems with the framerate which is hard to believe… I’ll be buying a Wii just for this game no matter what, but I seriously hope they’ll take the time to at least get the gameplay right. IGN has a article on a playable version of the game shown at E3 (although they were only allowed to look at a Sega employee playing the game):
PD Orta is an exceptional title though, and still stands out from the crowd. I think it looks great. Not “system pushing” great, but “in keeping with the original” great.
I’m more concerned about how the game will play than visuals, at this point (although nice graphics are never a bad thing).
Has anyone read any information about how you will control NiGHTS in this game? Is he controlled completely with the remote?

According to the wikipedia article under ‘confirmed information’;
“The game can be controlled using either the Wii Remote or the analog stick on the Nunchuck.”
