Music for new PD game

I hereby volunteer for making some of the games’ music.
I don’t know much about music (I played synths for 3 years or so) but with them fancy programs and a good ear I could provide some tracks

Anyways, regarding this : Feveth (i think it was him) talked about the themes beeing amde in MIDI format. Can’t they be made in MP3?

They would sound a lot better.

Sorry, this isn’t really related to what you posted Gehn, but has anyone considered remixing music from the previous games for this one? Not for the entire soundtrack, but a few new versions of familiar tunes wouldn’t go amiss. (Kind of like the way games such as Zelda keep bringing back the same classic themes…)

That was PART of my plan. You didn’t think I had that whole pro equipment here did ya?

But a couple of fancy pro sound progarms shoukd do the trick.

But they tarcks would depend alot on the locations and what we are doing there (as in battle and stuff).

lol, i’ll give making music a go with my keyboard… did you ever hear my other Saga pieces? lol
I might be able to conjure up something good

But as said before, you have to change it enough so you cannot be sued by Sega for making this game. It must be similar to PD, not a blantant copy of it.

If they wer egona sue us they would just cuase it’ll have the name Panzer Dragoon in it.Hey man, it’s just a fan project.

No, they won’t sue us as long as we stick to originality - and they wouldn’t want to hurt the most hardcore of fans.

Even if you stick a Saga theme in “our” game they can’t do anything about it.

It’s only illegal to make profit saying that it was created by you.

Copyright laws have nothin to do with the game being retail or not…
And the lawyers are just “suits”, they won’t care if you are fans or not they will just go ahead and do what they feel they should do. They also don’t represent the company’s thoughts, they are just doing their job and among their duties is to protect Sega’s trademarks and copyrights etc…
