The thing is, in all of the previous PD games the player was shown specifically how the rider found their gun. In PD1, Kyle inherited it from the Sky Rider; in Zwei, Lundi found it at the beginning of the first Episode; and in Saga you had to find it yourself. For me, that really emphasises the lack of a âpicking up the gunâ scene in PDO. It puts it beyond normal game-illogicality, in my opinion anyway, because PD games always have had that little bit of logic.
Iâm starting to agree with Geoff on this one, to be honest. If Smilebit ordered some ultra high quality FMV sequences early on, and knew that they didnât show Orta picking up the gun, why didnât they just show her getting it at the beginning of Episode 1? Like in Zwei?
The only answers are really âbecause they like mystifying usâ or âbecause there was a titanic cock-upâ. Although either of these explanations could be true, neither of them makes total sense to me, at least.
Now that you mentioned it⌠Itâs true!
Though that powerful, rare ancient gun laying on the floor of a tiny, burned village was a little âhmmmâŚâ at least there was a scene explaining how Lundi got a gun. Oh well⌠nobodyâs perfect!
