Info needed on the pre-alpha "3D shooting game"

Ok, I handed in my article, they loved it, but I still need an additonal boxout. Basically, I need 150 wrods by the end of tomorow (Wednesday), plus maybe an additional screen.

I was told you had info regarding the pre-alpha game, including screens. But I cant find the link!

So, could someone link me directly to it, and can I have permission to use the screens and any info provided?

The additonal box must not be a list (we already have one), or image based like the cover art.

Theres plenty of interesting things (such as the multi-region nature of some of the games), but I need stuff that covers 150 words. The pre-alpha bit sounds like my best bet.

Thanks for any assistance.

best regards
John

No worries, I found the emerald dragon article.

Im assuming PD.net doesnt mind iff I use some info/images? I will be iincluding a link to the site, which should hopefully make it into the print article.

I hope you find my Article useful for you, Mr. Szczepaniak, it’s there to inform. :anjou_happy:

I’d imagine that just giving us credits in the text of your article (give us mooooorrrrreee ttttrrraaafffiiiiccc!) would be sufficient, but perhaps the actual webmasters - Solo Wing Dragon, Lance Way, and Geoffrey Duke - would be best for confirming that.

Actually the site founder and admnistrator is Solo Wing Dragon.Geoffrey Duke also has webmaster responsibilities.

Lance is a moderator of the ontopic forum much like Neil beeing moderator of the Holy District or Shadow beeing moderator of the Liberal District.
Anyone corrcet me if I’m wrong.

Yep, that’s completely accurate.

Anyway, Szczepaniak, so long as Robert is fine with you using info and images from his article, it’s all good to go.

Mr. Sczepaniak, I’m perfectly happy for you to use the content of my article - the reason why I wrote it was to inform, after all. If I could just have a small acknowledgement as a source, then I’ll have no objections to raise.

What issue of GamesTM do you expect this article to come out (it falls outside my monthly magazine budget so I don’t buy it regularly)? I think that everyone here would like to read it!

First of all, let me sincerely say that it was one of the best written articles I have read in a long time. Truly excellent. I like how you build a decent intro, explain the facts concisely, reference those who went before, and then offer insight and also some fascinating analysis regarding things. I only hope that my work manages to consistently be of that high quality.

Reading that, I am certain you’d do well submitting an article to Retro Gamer. Be sure to reference that article if you ask in an email or something. Lol, Im almost nervous now, that was some top work.

Anyway, my boxout was only about 100 words. I submitted the large magazine scan image of the emerald dragon, but the actual text didn’t go into depth. I just skimmed the idea, mentioned how people have debated it, and then said that it spawned a rather excellent article at… and then gave the link to here. I kept it all very brief and didn’t use too much of your info, 100 words fills up fast. Sadly I didn’t realise it was your work until just now reading this topic again, meaning I didn’t credit your name. I hope mentioning the article and giving the link suffices…

No promises the link gets included though, since the editor may change the final text slightly. Which is always annoying.
Hopefully it makes it in.

As for issues… well, thats top secret, and I hope no one spreads it wildly all over the internet, but it should be in issue #34 of GamesTM.

Out soon methinks.

Cheers for all the assistance.

regards
John Szczepaniak

Just a quick note, I had confirmation, the URL link to here is included.

Don’t worry about it, Mr. Szczepaniak, it’s perfectly alright. After all those kind words you had for my “Mystery of the Emerald Dragon” article, my ego will be groomed for months at least.

Anyway, we’re all glad to have helped you with your project. I’ll look out for issue 34!

Szczepaniak, is this magazine avaliable in New Zealand by any chance (or can it be purchased online)? I wouldn’t mind picking up a copy to read the article myself…
