…to be ressurected in a next gen console what title would it be.Apart from a new PD game of course.(oh and Shenmue 3 too since you know it’s coming in one form or another). What’s the one game you can’t get off your thoughts , daily?

Hmmm… I’d go for NiGHTS, or a true old style Phantasy Star. Or maybe Ristar. Or Streets of Rage. Maybe I’ll just buy another Megadrive
Shenmue 3. Because I nobody knows if it’s coming in one form or another.
My choice would defiently be nights, I love that game.
I really need to get me a copy of Nights!
However I would choose Skies of Arcadia hands down, what that game did with the Dreamcast hardware was impressive as it is, I can’t imagine how cool a sequel\remake would appear on a next gen console. That whole world has so much more potential that could be realized with a new game.
I would love to see a new Burning Rangers LIVE, and a new SEGA GT.
SEGA GT 2002 was 80 to 90% the perfect driving game. I love to see SEGA make a new one and this time nail the Online part
Shining Force IV with a seemless battle system (the camera would just change, no cut scenes needed), high definition graphics, and an enhanced dynamic storyline to compare with that of Shining Force III.
AfterBurner 3…
Oh wait they are making that
How could I forget Burning Rangers!? I’d be happy with just a Sega Ages update where the walls don’t vanish when you look at them
I’ll put it this way, the title that I’d be the most sad to never see again is Ecco the Dolphin.
I gather a lot of fans of the series from the Genesis games didn’t like Defender of the Future but for me it stands as one of the most truly “Next-Gen” experiences this generation of consoles delivered.
Runner-ups would be JetSetRadio, Fighting Vipers (yeah I know second one was lame), and a real Shinobi game… also, god what I’d give to play an update to Galaxy Force II that looked (and played) as good relative to todays standards as that game did in the day.
Please
Other than that, Burning Rangers, Nights annnnd Streets of Rage is sounding like a pretty good choice.
Oh man that would be sweet with gynamic levels that had random fires and destructible environments. and a player would have to play navigator/Chris and give instructions to players in the field and react to new problems. and any chance to strap on the Burneer unit is a necessity.
i dont ever see it happening, tragically
Absolutely. And for the love of God, Shining Force III Scenario 2 and 3 in English. I can deal with reading Shining Force Central’s translations from my PC screen and then looking back to the game, but it’d be so much easier if I didn’t have to do so.
Woo, this is making me remember how many major games I never got the chance to play.
Skies of Arcadia would be great. I loved the audiovisual experience. Tthe Blue and Green gigas combats blew me away - no pun intended… but just wandering around the islands was a really cool experience. I’m a sucker for great landscape views in videogames (Dark Saviour’s silver castle comes to mind).
I’d also love to see another Virtual On. I never got to play OT, so I don’t know what it’s like as a franchise. But the giant robots battling concept is great, and surprisingly underused.
I’m a sucker for the Virtua Fighter series (though again, I haven’t been able to play past 3. Sigh. I’m so behind the times). But a sequel to that’s probably a gimme, anyway.
I’d love to see a sequel to Story of Thor (aka Beyond Oasis) that did it justice. The Saturn version was lousy.
Come to think of it, the Eternal Champions setting (and characters) were pretty cool. You could do just about anything with them…

Oh, you make a good point. I second that.
A new version of DRAGON FORCE wouldn’t go amiss for me. But there’s so many games to mention…
Since I haven’t posted my thoughts yet :
Burning Rangers 2
Streets of Rage 4 (in a late 80’s environment like the original and with a soundtrack in the same vein)
