Help with Panzer Dragoon Orta Scenarios

Hi, new guy here. I posted this on Gamefaqs, but that board seems to be pretty dead :anjou_sigh: Glad I found this place, figure it’s the last place on the Internet I can look for help as I replay this marvelous game more thoroughly.

So I’m trying to S-rank all the Iva episodes so I can unlock the Dragonmare in the Box game, but the first one is driving me crazy. No matter how close I land to the middle of the target, it gives me a goddamn A for distance from center. The FAQ on Gamefaqs says you get S if you land within .3 ln; my closest has been .22, and it still gave me an A! Is there a trick to this? I’m aiming right for the target’s nose, I just don’t know how I can get any closer.

Thanks for any help.

I honestly can’t remember if I got an S-rank there, but I do believe playing the game for 20 hours unlocks everything, including the Dragonmare.

Oh yeah, I know that part. Only problem is the flight records say I’ve barely got 9 hours logged total, and I’ve already unlocked like 97% of Pandora’s Box. So there’s really not much else for me to do in the meantime, but I’d rather not have to spend the next 11 hours waiting for it to automatically unlock, haha.

Does anyone remember how to get an S ranking on this mission?

Sorry for the double post.

Well I’ve gotten an S rank on all the Iva missions except the last one, and even there I’ve gotten an S in all 3 categories, just never at the same time. So I’m giving up on that for now cause it’s insane.

Now I’m wondering where my blue dragon mount is? I went through the original PD game on normal, and I thought that was supposed to unlock the blue dragon in the Box game. Yes I used invincibility, but I didn’t think that mattered. And yes I know it will unlock after 20 hours, but I’m still far from that, and the fact it didn’t unlock makes me wonder if there’s something wrong with my game. In fact, after I had beaten it and returned to Pandora’s Box, I didn’t get the “A new feature has been unlocked in Pandora’s Box” screen at all, so I don’t know what’s going on there.

Any ideas?
