This is little more than an idle curio with no sanity-sundering ramifications for the Panzer Dragoon franchise, nor cosmos-shattering implications of the nature of God and reality that will redefine our perception of existence and forcibly haul humanity on a new and terrible course, but I thought that it would be interesting to note.
The “100 Greatest Games of ALL TIME!” article is a long-established staple of gaming magazines, and it enjoys a venerable pedigree and lineage. Over the last couple of months the British publication GamesTM (the magazine John Scszepaniak wrote his article for last year) decided to fill out some blank pages with its own version, and Panzer Dragoon Saga snagged thirtieth place.
Now, with the position’s decided by reader’s votes, we all know that articles such as these cannot be classified as objectively definitive. Nonetheless, GamesTM is a relatively highbrow member of gaming publications, so hopefully the opinion of its readership should be esteemed somewhat higher than others, and reassuringly the fact that the positions are decided by popular acclaim informs us that Panzer Dragoon hasn’t been entirely forgotten by the general gaming public. Keep the flame alive!
