Apple and Google both recently announced new gaming platforms that take different approaches, but yet have similar goals: to bring gaming to a wide variety of devices. What do you think of these attempts, or is it too early to tell?
Personally, I find Apple Arcade to be the more interesting of the two, since it works offline and provides an opportunity to try out lots of smaller, creative games. Cloud saves between devices sounds really handy. It remains to be seen if the content will be worth whatever they charge monthly though.
Google Stadia might be interesting, but cloud only gaming is likely to be untenable here for some time due to low bandwidth speeds.
