Hi peeps just another question i found the leaked Giri Giri emulator on the net a few months ago and i tried it.
Unfortunatly my pc is only a 950mhz and there was quite considerable slowdown how ever the higher resolution made the games look pretty good.
I did try Saga and at a higer resolution it looked amazing.
I was just wondering if any one else has tried this emulator and if so how was your speed and sound quality.
Or even better can any one clean up the emulator.

Well i’m getting an Athlon64 based comp soon so i can’'t wait to see how the games will run, at the moment I got a athlon 2500XP with 9600XT graphics card and cassini runs pretty well (not really tried giri giri on this comp). I’m looking forward to it.

As far as I know, GiriGiri/Cassini (they’re the same emulator, really, just with a different graphical user interfaces) are more focused on CPU power, rather than how good your graphics card is. On my Athlon 2100 XP, Panzer Dragoon Saga runs at mostly full speed, but the sound is messed up and it crashes at certain points. These are bugs in the emulator itself, so it’s not entirely based on how powerful or fast your computer is. Lance managed to get passed these points by running the game on a slow CPU - the emulator somehow runs more accurately like that (possibly because it’s closer to the actual Saturn CPU speeds, I’m not sure…)
I’d still rather play PDS on my Saturn if I was just going to play the game, but GiriGiri is a great tool for taking screenshots and seeing what the game looks like at a high resolution. It’s not really a good emulator to play the game on for the first time though…
Yeah, the Saturn version i love to bits. Giri Giri gives me endless wallpaper =D
